Lü (surname)
Lü (Mandarin pronunciation: [ly˧˩˧]) is the pinyin (Lǚ with the tone diacritic) and Wade–Giles romanization of the Chinese surname written 呂 in traditional character and 吕 in simplified character. It is the 47th most common surname in China, shared by 5.6 million people, or 0.47% of the Chinese population as of 2002. It is especially common in Shandong and Henan provinces.
The surname originated from the ancient State of Lü. Lü Shang (fl. 11th century BC), the founder of the State of Qi, was the first person known to have the surname. Lü is the 22nd surname listed in the Song Dynasty classic text Hundred Family Surnames.
Romanization
Lü is the standard pinyin spelling of the Chinese character 吕/呂. However, when input of the umlaut is not possible, the surname is commonly romanized as Lu or Lv (v being the pinyin input shorthand for ü). On 31 October 2011, the National Standardization Committee of China issued The Chinese phonetic alphabet spelling rules for Chinese names, which stipulates that Lü should be spelled Lyu in such situation. The rule came into effect on 1 February 2012. In Cantonese the name is commonly romanized as Lui.

Ely Municipal Airport (IATA: LYU, ICAO: KELO, FAA LID: ELO) is in Saint Louis County, Minnesota, four miles south of Ely, which owns it.
Most U.S. airports use the same three-letter location identifier for the FAA and IATA, but Ely Municipal Airport is ELO to the FAA and LYU to the IATA (Eldorado, Misiones, Argentina has IATA code ELO.)
Facilities
The airport covers 560 acres (230 ha); its one runway, 12/30, is 5,600 x 100 ft (1,707 x 30 m) asphalt. In the year ending April 30, 2006 the airport had 8,200 aircraft operations, average 22 per day: 98% general aviation and 2% air taxi.
