LMFAO
LMFAO was an American hip hop-electronic dance music duo consisting of uncle and nephew Redfoo and SkyBlu. LMFAO's members were descendants of Motown Records founder Berry Gordy, Jr. RedFoo and SkyBlu grew up in the affluent Los Angeles neighborhood Pacific Palisades, where they formed the group LMFAO in 2006 and later became part of the electro house scene. LMFAO started building a local buzz through its shows and radio play. In 2010, it was featured on David Guetta's smash hit "Gettin' Over You", which charted all over Europe and the U.S., including reaching number one in the UK Singles Chart.
LMFAO is best remembered for its songs "Party Rock Anthem", which reached #1 in the United Kingdom, Australia, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Denmark, France, Germany, Ireland, New Zealand, Switzerland, and the United States and "Sexy And I Know It" which reached number one in Australia, Canada, New Zealand, and the United States. "Party Rock Anthem" also reached the top five in Italy and Norway. Worldwide, "Party Rock Anthem" was the third best-selling digital single of 2011 with sales of 9.7 million copies; it is also its biggest throughout its career. "Shuffling" is a reference to a dance style from Melbourne, Australia, hence the song's popularity in the Australian charts. Following the song's release, LMFAO announced that they were on hiatus.

LOL or lol, an acronym for laugh(ing) out loud, or lots of laughs, is a popular element of Internet slang. It was first used almost exclusively on Usenet, but has since become widespread in other forms of computer-mediated communication and even face-to-face communication. It is one of many initialisms for expressing bodily reactions, in particular laughter, as text, including initialisms for more emphatic expressions of laughter such as LMAO ("laugh(ing) my ass off") and ROFL (or its older form ROTFL; "roll(ing) on the floor laughing"). Other unrelated expansions include the now mostly obsolete "lots of luck" or "lots of love" used in letter-writing.
The list of acronyms "grows by the month" and they are collected along with emoticons and smileys into folk dictionaries that are circulated informally amongst users of Usenet, IRC, and other forms of (textual) computer-mediated communication. These initialisms are controversial, and several authors recommend against their use, either in general or in specific contexts such as business communications.
