LG Rumor (phone)
The LG Rumor (known as the LG Rumour and LG Rumeur in English and French Canadian markets respectively, or LG Scoop in other markets) is a mobile phone released by LG Electronics in September 2007. The phone was available in many different colors, and features a slide-out QWERTY keyboard in addition to the standard 12-button keypad, a 1.3 megapixel camera, and a 176x220 pixel screen.
Features
The LG Rumor/LG Scoop is a phone that was released by Sprint Nextel in September 2007. This phone features a QWERTY keyboard that slides out from the right side. 5-way navigation keys are located on the main panel of the phone, but not present on the keyboard. A 176x220 pixel screen rotates as the keyboard is open, but has no contrast controls. The 1.3-megapixel camera lacks an LED flash and a self-portrait mirror but does have negative, sepia, black & white tones, borders and an image enhancer to customize a picture. Basic MP3 playing functions are embedded in this phone, with the capability of expanding music storage via MicroSD card (125 to 1,000 music files depending on file size, encoding method, and card capacity). The music player will not launch unless a card is inserted in the phone, and will not accept a card with the memory that is over 4 GB.

LG Rumor is a series of feature phones from Sprint in the United States, manufactured by LG Electronics. Each phone is equipped with a slide-out Qwerty keyboard with the latest featured touchscreen.

LG Rumor
The LG Rumor is the first phone in the series. It was released first for Sprint in September 2007 followed by other carriers on later dates.
LG Rumor 2
The LG Rumor 2 was released for Sprint in March 2008, it offered a new, updated version of the Rumor called the LG Rumor 2 with a 4 row QWERTY keyboard instead of a 3-row keyboard. Also, a new interface and IM-like text messaging interface debuted. However, the Rumor 2 does not include video recording capabilities that the original Rumor has. It is not currently offered on Sprint's online store because of the release of the LG Rumor Touch. The LG Rumor 2 was also later released for Virgin Mobile USA and Virgin Mobile Canada as well as Bell Mobility and its now-defunct Solo Mobile brand. The Rumor 2 was also released for Kajeet. Verizon Wireless received a version in Q1 2010 called the LG Cosmos.
LG Rumor 2
The LG Rumor 2 and LG Script (LG Rumeur2 in the province of Quebec, and LG Rumour2 in the rest of Canada ) is a Sprint, Bell Mobility, Solo Mobile, Virgin Mobile USA and Virgin Mobile Canada feature phone manufactured by LG Electronics. It is available in black titanium, vibrant blue, purple, gray, and orange. The phones are offered by Sprint in Black, Blue, and Orange and were released in March 2009. The regular price of the phone is $249.99.
It is the follow-up of the LG Rumor (LX260) that came out in September 2007. The Rumor 2 has been updated from the original version. Although it is a bit bigger and slightly heavier, the QWERTY keyboard has been adjusted to have 4 full lines of the keyboard enabling more space for texting. The front keys have been polished to make what the critics say a glossier and more stylish look. Unlike the original Rumor, the LG Rumor 2 does not have video recording capabilities. It is suspected by the internet community that this was to prevent a loophole where customers could create a blank video with music on their computers and assign them as ring tones, thereby subverting any subscription or download fees. One downside of this phone is the internet browsing. Most websites will only allow half of the page to be viewed.
