L. B. Nagar
Lal Bahadur Nagar, well known as L.B.Nagar, is a commercial and residential hub in Hyderabad, Telangana, India. It was once a Municipality in Ranga Reddy district. It is the main entrance for Hyderabad.
Demographics
As of 2001 India census, L.B. Nagar had a population of 261,987. Males constitute 52% of the population and females 48%. L.B. Nagar has an average literacy rate of 74%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 79%, and female literacy is 69%. In L.B. Nagar, 11% of the population is under 6 years of age.
Commercial area
L.B.Nagar is one among the many major commercial centers of Hyderabad. It is located at the crossroads of the main city and its new international airport.
Hotel Sitara Grand, Hotel Abhinand Grand and Hotel Swagath serve as prime hotels, restaurants and banquet halls. BVK Multiplex (Vijaya Lakshmi theatre L.B.Nagar) and Vishnu are the movie theatres, primarily screening Telugu cinema.
Religious Places
A huge Hindu temple complex with temples for Lord Shiva Temple In Sirinagar Colony, sri Rama,Hanuman, Shiva, Krishna, Durga, Saibaba etc. is present on the main road. There are several other temples in the colonies like a Shiva and Saibaba temple in Central Bank Colony, Venkateswara temple in Saraswati Nagar.
