KWin is a window manager for the X Window System and is currently in the process of becoming a Wayland compositor. It is released as part of KDE Plasma 5 for which it is the default window manager. KWin can also be used on its own or with other desktop environments.
KWin 5.x depends on KDE Frameworks 5. KWin 4.x depended on KDE Platform 4, which was a monolithic library. KWin 3.x and earlier depended on KDELibs.
KWin can be configured by scripting using QML or QtScript, both of which are based on ECMAScript.
There are many window decorations for KWin, including the current default Breeze (shown below), the previous default Oxygen, Microsoft Windows-like Redmond, and Keramik.
Currently available compositing backends include XRender, OpenGL 1.2, OpenGL 2.0, OpenGL 3.1 and OpenGL ES 2.0.

KWIN (97.7 FM) is an American commercial radio station located in Stockton, California, broadcasting to the Stockton, Lodi, Tracy, Modesto, and Turlock, California, area on 97.7 FM. They simulcast an Mainstream Urban format with sister station KWNN, which is located in Turlock, California, at 98.3 FM. Both are owned by Cumulus Media. Its studios are in Stockton, and its transmitter for KWIN is located between Stockton and Lodi, while the one for KWNN is in Hughson, California.
On Air DJ's include The Morning Block Party with Amanda and Lucas, Midday's with Nikki Ramos, Afternoons with Jiggy, Nights with Danny B. & The Bomb Squad, Late Night Slow Jamz with R Dub and Overnight with Jeff Bayani.
KTUR (later KCEY), signed on in 1949. In 1977, when an FM station was added, a new building went up. K-MIX 98 was automated adult contemporary with DJs recording their shows to give the impression of live broadcasts.
In 1995, KMIX-FM became KWNN, simulcasting Rhythmic CHR KWIN.
In late 2010, KWIN and KWNN, switch format from Rhythmic CHR to Mainstream Urban.
