Kutlay Erk was the mayor of the Turkish Cypriot part of the capital of Cyprus, Nicosia/Turkish: Lefkoşa (North Nicosia is the capital city of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus)). Erk was elected to the post in June 2002 for a four year term and served as the Mayor of north Nicosia until June 2006.
