The Kukis, also known as the Chin in the Chin State of Myanmar and as Mizo in the Indian state of Mizoram are a number of related Tibeto-Burman tribal peoples spread throughout the northeastern states of India, northwestern Burma, and the Chittagong Hill Tracts of Bangladesh. In Northeast India, they are present in all states except Arunachal Pradesh. This dispersal across international borders is mainly attributed to former British colonial policy.

Some fifty tribes of Kuki peoples in India are recognised as scheduled tribes based on the dialect spoken and region of origin.

    Name

The name "Kuki" is used in India, "Chin" in Burma.

The name "Chin" is disputed. During the British Raj, the British used the compound term 'Chin-Kuki-Mizo' to group the Kukish language speaking people, and the Government of India inherited this. Missionaries chose to employ the term Chin to christen those on the Burmese side and the term Kuki on the Indian side of the border. Chin nationalist leaders in Burma's Chin State popularized the term "Chin" following Burma's independence from Britain.

    Kuki (footballer)

Sílvio Luiz Borba da Silva, usually known as Kuki (born April 30, 1971 in Crateús, Ceará), is a retired association footballer who played forward and a head coach.

    Career

    Playing career

Kuki is Náutico's all time's fourth goalscorer. In January 2008, he returned to Náutico from a loan to Santa Cruz, where he went after he was booed by Náutico supporters when the club was defeated by Cruzeiro 4–1 at Estádio dos Aflitos on July 18, 2007, for the Campeonato Brasileiro Série A.

He played Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors in K League in 2002. He only appeared in League Cup 2 matches.

Kuki became the most capped Náutico player on September 13, 2009 during the 2009 Série A, in a game against Grêmio Foot-Ball Porto Alegrense, at Estádio dos Aflitos, after playing his 386th game for the club.

The last club he defended was Clube Náutico Capibaribe. He retired after playing 387 games for the club and scoring 184 goals.

    Coaching career

Kuki was hired as Náutico's assistant manager in April 2010, working with head coach Alexandre Gallo during the 2010 season.

    Tell me I'm I dreaming
    Tell me it is true
Do you love me baby like I love you
    Tell me I'm I dreaming
    Tell me it is true
Do you love me baby like I love you
    Like I love
The way you think, and some other small things
Some things I can't see hidden deep behind your skin
    And it makes me happier
And I know it's never what it shows
And it's not just what it seems
    It's something far more beautiful
    Tell me I'm I dreaming
    Tell me it is true
Do you love me baby like i love you
    And if you do...
We could make our own revolution
And change the frames of time
    While moments keep on flowin'
    In this sweet mornin' divine
And if you like it just the same
We could begin it all again and again
Yeah, if you like it just the same
We could begin it all again and again
Oh, if you want me just the same
We could begin it all again and again
Yeah, if you like it just the same
