Kujō (九条 or 九條) literally means ninth street in Japanese.

Kujū, Ōita

Kujū (久住町, Kuju-machi) was a town located in Naoiri District, Ōita Prefecture, Japan.

As of 2003, the town had an estimated population of 4,686 and the density of 32.84 persons per km². The total area was 142.69 km².

On April 1, 2005, Kujū, along with the towns of Naoiri and Ogi (all from Naoiri District), was merged into the expanded city of Taketa.

In addition to being a tourist destination, beef, strawberries, rice and mushrooms are produced locally by small scale farmers. Mount Kujū is a popular local destination for hiking and in the spring, there are abundant pink flowering shrubs (miayama kirishima.) Hikers may use the Bogatsuru (坊がつる) campsite free of charge. The surrounding areas have many onsen or natural hot springs. Kujū also has a flower park, which sells lavendar ice cream.

Many of the families in Kujū still live a traditional Japanese lifestyle, with extended families living together, houses with real shoji - rice paper sliding doors and tatami mats, and people eating rice, fish and miso soup for breakfast. Kujū is also home to TAO, one of Japan's foremost taiko groups, and Kudami Taiko, an all women taiko group.

KUJ (AM)

KUJ (1420 AM) is a radio station licensed to Walla Walla, Washington, USA. The station is currently owned by Alexandra Communications. It features a news/talk format. The station has obtained a construction permit from the FCC for a power increase to 10,000 watts during the day.

History

In the 1970s, KUJ had a Top-40 music format with such personalities as Jockey John, Wee Willie Winkle, Kent Phillips(now one half of the Kent & Alan team at KPLZ-FM in Seattle), Bobby Dancer, Mason Dixon(a.k.a. Larry Brown), Ivanhoe, Chuck Taylor & C. Hamilton Banks. Conservative radio host Glen Beck & Bob Larson, now a reporter at KIRO-FM in Seattle did stints at KUJ. Las Vegas TV personality Dana Wagner also had a stint at KUJ.

Family Π

Family Π is a group of New Testament manuscripts. Belonging to the Byzantine text-type, it is one of the textual families of this group. The name of the family, "Π" (pronounced in English as "pie"), is drawn from the symbol used for the Codex Petropolitanus. One of the most distinct of the Byzantine sub-groups, it is very old and the third largest. The oldest Byzantine manuscripts belong to this family.

Hermann von Soden designated this group by the symbol "K^a". According to him, its text is not purely Byzantine.

Codices and manuscripts

Soden included the following in this group of codices: Cyprius (K), Petropolitanus (Π), 72, 114, 116, 178, 265, 389, 1008, 1009, 1079, 1154, 1200, 1219, 1346, and 1398. Lake added to this group of manuscripts: 489, 537, 652, 775, 796, 904, 1478, 1500, 1546, 1561, 1781, 1816. Soden also associated Codex Alexandrinus with this group. Wisse lists about 150 witnesses of the family, but the majority of them belong to this family only in some parts of their text. The Peshitta, in the Gospels, represents this family.

Family (Spanish band)

Family was a cult band from Spain in the 1990s. Although initially unsuccessful, Family gradually acquired a fanbase and is now highly recognised in the Spanish underground pop scene.
