Assassination is the murder of a prominent person, often but not always a political leader or ruler, usually for political reasons or payment.
An assassination may be prompted by religious, political, or military motives; it is an act that may be done for financial gain, to avenge a grievance, from a desire to acquire fame or notoriety, or because of a military, security or insurgent group's command to carry out the homicide.
The word assassin is often believed to derive from the word Hashshashin (Arabic: حشّاشين, ħashshāshīyīn, also Hashishin, Hashashiyyin, or Assassins), and shares its etymological roots with hashish (/hæˈʃiːʃ/ or /ˈhæʃiːʃ/; from Arabic: حشيش ḥashīsh). It referred to a group of Nizari Shia Persians who worked against various Arab and Persian targets.
Founded by the Arab-Persian Hassan-i Sabbah, the Assassins were active in the fortress of Alamut in Iran from the 8th to the 14th centuries, and also controlled the castle of Masyaf in Syria. The group killed members of the Persian, Abbasid, Seljuq, and Christian Crusader élite for political and religious reasons.
Assassination (Hangul: 암살; RR: Amsal) is a 2015 South Korean espionage action film co-written and directed by Choi Dong-hoon.
In 1911, during Japan's rule over Korea, a resistance fighter named Yeom tries but fails to murder the governor-general and a pro-Japanese businessman named Kang. That evening, Kang discovers that his own wife was helping Yeom. Kang kills his wife but a wet nurse runs off with one of his twin daughters. By the 1930s, there are over 30 Korean independence factions operating in Korea, China, and Manchuria. Yeom has become a captain in one of these factions, but his colleagues are unaware that he is secretly reporting to the Japanese, since back in 1911 he was tortured by the Japanese into submission.
Yeom meets with some Korean politicans in Hangzhou, including Kim Koo and Kim Won-bong, and is asked to gather three delinquent resistance members— Chu, Hwang, and Ahn— so they can enter Seoul and successfully murder Kang, along with a general named Kawaguchi. After bringing them to Shanghai, however, Yeom sells this information to the Japanese. The Japanese attempt to find Ahn, but a skilled contract-killer named Hawaii Pistol decides, on the spur of the moment, to pretend that Ahn is his wife, allowing her to elude the soldiers.
Assassination (暗殺, Ansatsu), also known as The Assassin, is a 1964 film directed by Masahiro Shinoda.
Krisiun is a Brazilian death metal band, founded by brothers Alex Camargo (bass, vocals), Moyses Kolesne (guitars) and Max Kolesne (drums). Since its formation in 1990, the group recorded two demos, Evil Age in 1991 and Curse of the Evil One in 1992, and self-released an extended play (EP) titled Unmerciful Order in 1993. After signing with Dynamo Records (a Brazilian label), Krisiun released the debut full-length Black Force Domain in 1995, followed by Apocalyptic Revelation, in 1998. They signed with major label Century Media in 1999, releasing a further eight studio albums.
Krisiun was formed in 1990, by three brothers, vocalist/bassist Alex Camargo, guitarist Moyses Kolesne and drummer Max Kolesne. (Alex uses his mother's maiden name.) They have toured extensively through North America, South America and Europe (recording their first official DVD while in Poland).
The band is heavily influenced by the debut albums of Sodom, Kreator, Morbid Angel and Slayer. Their violent lyrics and very fast musical tempo makes them one of the most eminent "extreme death metal" bands in the world.
Wrath of primeval madness
Forged from vicious roots
Timeless existence plagued soul
I vindicate the renegade ones.
Full moon serpent spirit
Emerging in days of vindication
Ravager fatherless inexorable
Ill nature aberration of creation.
Primitive derangement
Forged from self holocaust
Timeless vicious hatred
By nihilistic fire I was burnt.
Specters of primitive summoning
Forged from self damnation.
Straight vicious wrath,
Straight vicious wrath.
My twisted image mirrored in red
Break the reflections into shards
Within the serpent's gaze
I see the coming of a painful dawn.
