Krip Suri

Krip Kapur Suri, (born June 14) is an Indian model turned actor. He is primarily known for his role of Prof. Vardhan Suryavanshi in Channel V India’s Sadda Haq and Raahukaal in Life OK’s Savitri. Currently he is portraying the role of Ravi Garewal in Life OK's Kalash.

Personal life

Krip was born into a Punjabi middle-class family hailing from Delhi. Krip had always dreamt of becoming a successful actor, though he wasn’t born with a silver spoon. Krip didn’t even have money to enroll himself into an acting school. In an interview he stated that— “I arrived in Mumbai ten years ago on 17 January 2003 and was living in a room with eight people. I was unable to pay rent and was out on the streets for three days. On seeing me sleeping on the streets a generous soul offered me accommodation till I could afford to find a roof over my head and pay rent for the same. I was also without any morsel of food for six days.” However he soon passed this struggling phase with his strong dedication towards acting. Krip has a great interest in photography.And also a great football player too.“Well, acting is my career. But yes, along with acting, I would like to work really hard on my photography skills. I want to keep a really good collection of photographs clicked by me. My camera is my best friend.” says he.

Suri (Vidhan Sabha constituency) is an assembly constituency in Birbhum district in the Indian state of West Bengal. The Rajnagar (Vidhan Sabha constituency) ceases to exist from 2011.

As per orders of the Delimitation Commission, No. 285 Suri(Vidhan Sabha constituency) is composed of the following: Suri municipality, Suri I community development block, Rajnagar community development block, and Chinpai, Gohaliara, Parulia and Sahapur gram panchayats of Dubrajpur community development block.

Suri (Vidhan Sabha constituency) is part of No. 42 Birbhum (Lok Sabha constituency).

In the 2006 state assembly elections Tapan Roy of CPI(M) won the Suri assembly seat defeating his nearest rival Swapan Kanti Ghosh of Congress. Contests in most years were multi cornered but only winners and runners are being mentioned. Braja Mukherjee of CPI(M) defeated Suniti Chattaraj of Trinamool Congress in 2001. Suniti Chattaraj of Congress defeated Tapan Roy of CPI(M) in 1996. Tapan Roy of CPI(M) defeated Suniti Chattaraj of Congress in 1991 and 1987. Suniti Chattaraj of Congress defeated Keshab Das of CPI(M) in 1982 and Arun Kumar Chowdhury in 1977.

Suri, Birbhum

Suri, (Pron:ˈsʊərɪ) (also spelt as Siuri and 'Soori'), is the capital of Birbhum district in the Indian state of West Bengal, India.

Suri is located at 23°55′00″N 87°32′00″E / 23.9167°N 87.5333°E / 23.9167; 87.5333. It has an average elevation of 67 metres (220 feet). It is situated on the extended part of Chotanagpur Plateau. Tilpara barrage on Mayurakshi river is located 3 km north-east of Siuri.

Economics

The chief industries of Suri include rice milling, cotton and silk weaving, and furniture manufacture. Suri was constituted a municipality in 1876.

In March 2008, a private Kolkata-based firm, Ramsarup Group, unveiled a proposal for large-scale investment. A greenfield power plant and cement manufacturing plant worth Rs 2200 crores (US $550 million) was submitted to the Government of West Bengal. Bakreshwar Thermal Power Plant is around 12 kilometers away from Suri town.

According to 1991 census Suri had a population of ~ 54,274 (Prelim). As of 2001 India census, Suri had a population of 79,818.as of 2011 census population of suri town..3,10,000. Males constitute 51% of the population and females 49%. Suri has an average literacy rate of 74%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 79%, and female literacy is 68%. In Suri, 11% of the population is under 6 years of age. According to the 2011 census, the Sex Ratio in Suri is 963 higher than the national averagr 940. The overall literacy rate is 86.95% with the male literacy rate being 90.83% and the female literacy rate being 82.92%.
