Kolhapur, also spelled Colapore, ( Kolhapur.ogg ) is a city in the Panchganga River Basin in the western Indian state of Maharashtra. It is the district headquarters of Kolhapur district. Kolhapur comes under the administration of Pune division. Prior to Indian Independence, Kolhapur was a nineteen gun salute, princely state ruled by the Bhosale Chhatrapati (Bhosale royal clan) of the Maratha Empire.
Kolhapur is mentioned in the Devi Gita, the final and key chapter of the Devi-Bhagavata Purana, a special text of Shaktism. Kolhapur is noted as a place of Kollamma worship. In the text, Devi says,
The Shilahara family at Kolhapur was the latest of the three and was founded about the time of the downfall of the Rashtrakuta Empire. They ruled over southern Maharashtra; the modern districts of Satara, Kolhapur and Belgaon. Their family deity was the goddess Mahalakshmi, whose blessing they claimed to have secured in their copperplate grants (Mahalakshmi-labdha-vara-prasada). Like their relatives of the northern branch of Konkan, the Shilaharas of Kolhapur claimed to be of the lineage of the Vidyadhara Jimutavahana. They carried the banner of golden Garuda. One of the many titles used by the Shilaharas was Tagarapuravaradhisvara, supreme sovereign ruler of Tagara.[3]
Kolhapur State (1707–1949) was a Maratha princely State of British India, under the Deccan Division of the Bombay Presidency, and later the Deccan States Agency. It was considered the fourth most important of the Maratha principalities, the other three being Baroda State, Gwalior State and Indore State. Its rulers, of the Bhonsle dynasty, were entitled to a 19-gun salute - thus Kolhapur was also known as a 19-gun State. The state flag was a swallow-tailed orange pennant.
Kolhapur State, together with its jagirs or feudatories, covered an area of 3,165 square miles (8,200 km²). According to the 1901 census, the state population was 910,011, of which 54,373 resided in Kolhapur Town. In 1901, the state enjoyed an estimated revenue of £300,000.
Kolhapur Lok Sabha constituency (Marathi: कोल्हापूर लोकसभा मतदारसंघ) is one of the 48 Lok Sabha (parliamentary) constituencies in Maharashtra state in western India.
Presently, after the implementation of the Presidential notification on delimitation on 19 February 2008, Kolhapur Lok Sabha constituency comprises six Vidhan Sabha (legislative assembly) segments. These segments are:

-intro-
So there I was and you we're gone without me.
My heart is like a broken glass, ready to sleep.
Now I realized what you've done to me,
You left without a single feel,
Ready to say goodbye for our HIS-TO-RY!
-verse 1-
There I was terrified, cause you we're on my sight,
I can't believe my eyes.
I turn my back for you, hope you don't be a fool,
To lay your hand on me.
-bridge 1-
What you did to me, was unacceptable.
-chorus 1-
Hey!
Can you see how I hate?
Can you feel all of my rage?
Can you see how your own heart pumps my anger into your veins?
-bridge 2-
What you did to me, was unforgivable.
-chorus 2-
Hey!
Everything you said was a lie!
I just want to say goodbye!
Don't you ever speak to me, get the fuck out of my face!
-verse 2-
I can't find words to say, how I will survive today,
You caused me so much pain.
I just close my eyes, start running towards the light,
Ready to say goodbye.
