Seventh Avenue could refer to:
British producer Ian Levine was behind one of the first boy bands in history, Seventh Avenue, formed in 1979. Signing to one of the leading US disco labels, AVI Records, Seventh Avenue released the album Midnight in Manhattan, a love story in five acts - the back cover with two young boys stripped to the waist more than suggested it was a gay love story - starting with "Midnight in Manhattan", "New York's on Fire", then experiencing "Miami Heatwave" (a popular disco 12"), going "From Chicago to the Sky" to "L.A. at the End of the Day".
7th Avenue, also known as Melrose District for the historic neighborhood, is a station on the Metro light rail line in Phoenix, Arizona, USA.
7th Avenue is the first studio album by rapper KJ-52, and his only release before signing to BEC Recordings. The album notably contains little to no pop influence, instead favoring old school hip hop, and KJ-52 has a more conventional flow here than in his BEC Recordings work, in which it is very simplistic. The album has been hailed as highly influential by such notable Christian hip hop artists such as Skribbal and LA Symphony.
In 2004, it was re-released by Essential Records, with new tracks "Lift Me Up" (Jars of Clay cover), "All Around the World", "Need Someone", "It's The S.O.I. (Remix)", and "12 Round Knockout" added, and with all the skits, the "Greatest M.C." intro, continue, and outro, and songs "Cipha All Stars" and "They Know Not" cut.
Jonah Kirsten Sorrentino (born June 26, 1975), better known by his stage name KJ-52, is a Christian rapper from Tampa, Florida. The "KJ" part of his name refers to his old rap alias, "King J. Mac," a name which he later described in one of his podcasts as "horribly cheesy." "52", which is pronounced "five two", not "fifty-two", is a reference to the Biblical story of Jesus feeding the multitude with five loaves and two fish, which is also sung about in his song "Push Up" from The Yearbook and in the "KJ Five Two" on It's Pronounced 'Five Two. He was awarded the Rap/Hip Hop Recorded Song of the Year for "Never Look Away" and Rap/Hip Hop Album of the Year at the GMA Dove Awards of 2007. On July 28, 2009, KJ-52 released "End of My Rope", which is the first single for his album Five-Two Television. His song "Dear Slim" is based on Eminem's song "Stan" and is a sort of personal message from KJ-52 to Eminem.
In 2002, Sorrentino released his second album, Collaborations. The album's title referred to the numerous contributions made to the album by guest artists, including Pillar, John Reuben and Thousand Foot Krutch. Collaborations also represented his first nomination for a Dove Award, for "Rap/Hip Hop/Dance Album of the Year" in 2003.
Yeah, you, you look for trouble
You, you're always dancin'
Look who's fashion conscious
True always romancin'
Out until the sunlight
Nothin' else to say
Puttin' out 'til mornin'
Well, then just walk away
I've seen your pictures in the magazine
I knew it must be you
You know I really wanna meet you, girl
On 7th Avenue
It's your sweet attitude
You, you're always playin'
I don't know what you're sayin'
You, you like the night life
Well, diamond girls don't think twice
Show strings of pearls and
Trips around the world
Got men 'round your finger
Well, that's my kind of girl
I've seen your pictures in the magazines
I knew it must be you
You know I really want to meet you, girl
On 7th Avenue
It's your sweet attitude
Yeah, you, you look for trouble
You, you're always dancin'
Look who's fashion conscious
True always romancin'
I got love I want to show you
I know it's up to you
You know I'm dyin' to meet you, girl
On 7th Avenue, on 7th Avenue, on 7th Avenue
You know I really want to meet you, girl
