Kishore Kadam (Marathi: किशोर कदम) (born November 9, 1967) is a Marathi actor who has acted in several Marathi and Hindi movies as well as in some TV serials. He is a veteran Marathi poet, writing with his pseudonym Saumitra (Marathi: सौमित्र) and well known for his poems in the album Garawa with Milind Ingle, all songs revolved on the topic of rain.
Kishor won critical acclaim for his performance in the lead role in Samar directed by Shyam Benegal, the film won the National Film Award for the best film in 1999. He also has acted in Natrang as Pandoba. In 2010 he won the Zee Gaurav Puraskar for best supporting actor and the Nilu Phule Sanman award. His other Hindi ventures include Ek Chalis Ki Last Local, Black Friday' 'And New Film 'BABY(2015)' and Dil Pe Mat Le Yaar among others.
More recently, Kishor played the role of a terrorist leader Ravindran in the Hindi TV series 24. And New Film 'BABY(2015)'
Kishor (Hebrew: כישור, lit. Distaff), now Kishorit is a kibbutz in northern Israel. Located in the Lower Galilee near Karmiel, it falls under the jurisdiction of Misgav Regional Council. In 2013, Kishorit had 150 members, all diagnosed with Asperger syndrome, schizophrenia, Down syndrome and autism.
Founded in 1980, it was Israel's first kibbutz for individuals with special needs. Named after the Bible (Proverbs 31:19) together with the nearby kibbutz Pelekh, whose name is the corresponding word of the same sentence.
Kishorit provides its members with employment opportunities, leisure activities, private living quarters, medical supervision, nursing care and opportunities for social integration in Israeli society. All members are assigned work duty in the laundry room, kitchen or one of ten work centers. The centers, all headed by outside professionals, include an organic goat farm, a chicken coop, a toy factory and a dog kennel that breeds miniature schnauzers sold in Europe.
