Kindred Spirit was a female duo consisting of Debbi Peterson (drummer/vocalist of The Bangles) and Siobhan Maher (vocalist of the River City People).
After the split of The Bangles, Debbi Peterson formed the group Smashbox, which also featured Gina Schock (of The Go-Go's), Sara Lee (of The B-52's) and Wendy & Lisa. This line-up didn't last long and by 1991 the group was reduced to Peterson and Schock, who signed with I.R.S. Records and renamed themselves Kindred Spirit. After recording some songs with producer Humberto Gatica, Schock decided to quit.
Peterson looked for a replacement and found Siobhan Maher, who had just split with her group, the River City People. In late 1992 they released the single Here In My Eyes in Europe and went on tour as the opening act for Joan Armatrading.
Their self-titled album was expected for release in early 1993. The songs Peterson and Schock had written together were slated for the album, however Schock sued the group and filed a lawsuit to "regain control of her material." The lengthy legal battle put the album on hold and it wasn't until 1995 that it was released, preceded by the single Ask Me No Questions.
Deuter (born Georg Deuter, 1945) is a German new age instrumentalist and recording artist known for his meditative style that blends Eastern and Western musical styles.
Born in 1945 in post-war Germany in the town of Falkenhagen, Deuter taught himself the guitar, flute, harmonica and "just about every instrument I could get my hands on," though it wasn’t until after a near-fatal car crash in his early twenties that he decided to pursue a career in music. His first release in 1971, titled D, is widely acknowledged as a Krautrock classic. D marked the beginning of Deuter’s spiritual and musical journey, ostensibly paving the way for a new genre of music known as New Age, which combined acoustic and electronic elements with ethnic instrumentation and nature sounds, such as whale and bird song, the open sea, wind in the trees, etc.
During the 1970s and 1980s Deuter, after travelling extensively in Asia in search of spiritual and creative inspiration, settled for a long time in Pune, India, where under the name Chaitanya Hari he became a neo-sannyasin — a disciple of Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh, who later changed his name to Osho. With the aid of a multitrack tape machine, living in the neo-sannyas ashram, he produced a series of music tapes to be used in "active meditations", consisting of several "stages" of ten or fifteen minutes each, which range between, and often merge, Indian classical motifs, fiery drums, loops, synthesisers, bells, musique concrète and pastoral acoustic passages. These works, constructed to the master's instructions in consultation with a team of disciples testing the meditation methods, deserve recognition for their purely functional or objective origination as well as for their originality, power and sometimes beauty.

Long ago a little child
Dreamed about a gallant knight
It's funny how a dream comes true
That gallant knight was you.
I never dared to show my feelings
Are you aware my heart, it's bleeding.
What are we waiting for
What are we doing here
There's no one there beside you
There's no one knocking at my door
What are we waiting for
Too much time has passed us by
What are we waiting for
No one else could love you more than me.
I've watched you for so many years
I've heard you laugh, I've felt your tears
I've seen your lovers come and go
But none of them were true.
Oh, can't you see how much I need you
Won't you believe you need me too, so.
What are we waiting for
What are we doing here
There's no one there beside you
There's no one knocking at my door
What are we waiting for
Too much time has passed us by
What are we waiting for
No one else could love you more than me.
Your's was the star that I followed
Without you, there's no tomorrow.
What are we waiting for
What are we doing here
There's no one there beside you
There's no one knocking at my door
What are we waiting for
Too much time has passed us by
What are we waiting for
