Kilo Ali

Kilo Ali (born May 1, 1973), formerly Kilo, is an American rap music Artist from Atlanta, Georgia. Kilo Ali recorded mainly bass music (described more closely to miami bass style music), but also hip hop tracks with a less distinctive southern flavor. His most well known singles include "Show Me Love", "Baby Baby", and "Love In Ya Mouth".

As Kilo Ali, he released Organized Bass in 1997 on Interscope with featured artists including George Clinton, Cee-Lo from Goodie Mob, JT Money as well as Big Boi from OutKast. He is currently managed by LazerBeam Megatainment www.LazerBeamWorld.com

Kilo-

Kilo (from the Greek χίλιοι, literally a thousand) is a decimal unit prefix in the metric system denoting multiplication by one thousand (10³). It has been used in the International System of Units where it has the unit symbol k, in lower case.

The prefix kilo is derived from the Greek word χίλιοι (chilioi), meaning "thousand". It was originally adopted by Antoine Lavoisier's research group in 1795, and introduced into the metric system in France with its establishment in 1799. Based on a proposal by Thomas Young, the prefix was often alternatively spelled chilio- in early 19th century sources.

A second definition has been in common use in some fields of computer science and information technology, which is, however, inconsistent with the SI definition. It uses kilo as meaning 2¹⁰ = 1024, because of the mathematical coincidence that 2¹⁰ is approximately 10³. The reason for this application is that binary values natively used in computing are base 2 and not the base 10 which is used for the SI prefixes. The NIST comments on this confusion: "Faced with this reality, the IEEE Standards Board decided that IEEE standards will use the conventional, internationally adopted, definitions of the SI prefixes", instead of kilo for 1024.

KILO

KILO is a radio station broadcasting in Colorado Springs and Pueblo, Colorado. It also streams online at its website.

KILO features a current active rock format. The station is known for playing new bands well before many other stations will add them to their playlist and is usually one of the higher rated stations in Colorado Springs, always in the top five. Rich Hawk, who programmed the station for 27 years is widely considered one of the "fathers of active rock". On March 7, 2013 Rich Hawk died after falling into a coma in February.

The Pure Rock Panel is a "fan club" of sorts. It is used to inform its members of concerts and new releases, and to get feedback about the station.

During the winter months, the station organises ski trips to the nearby Monarch Ski Area.

Ali (Arabic: علي‎, ʿAlī) is a male Arabic name derived from the Arabic root ʕ-l-w, which literally means "high" or "elevated". It is a common name in Arab countries and the rest of the Muslim world. Islamic traditional use of the name goes back to the Islamic leader Ali ibn Abi Talib but the name is identical in form and meaning to the Hebrew: עֵלִי ‎, Eli, which goes back to the High Priest Eli in the biblical Books of Samuel.

Cho Yong-Jin (Korean: 조용진), famously known as Ali (stylized as ALi), is a South Korean singer-songwriter famous for her work on Korean pop music in the early twenty-first century. Her stage name is a motif from Muhammad Ali. This is so that it can be engraved easily by the masses. Following her debut in 2009, she is primarily known for her strong vocals and her time as a contestant on the KBS program Immortal Songs 2.

Career

Following her debut in 2009, she had already gained fame for her appearances on music shows, most notably Immortal Songs 2 on KBS2. She also worked as a professor in applied musical arts at the Seoul Technical Arts College.

ALi released her first album SOULri in December 2011 which was strangely two years after her official debut. One released track, "Na Young", garnered immediate controversy as its lyrics referenced a case of sexual assault that had been a very public case in South Korea, with many detractors criticizing the song to be insensitive to its subject. ALi would later address this controversy by revealing that she herself was a survivor of sexual assault.
