Kevin Michael McHale (born June 14, 1988) is an American actor, singer, dancer and voice actor. Formerly of the boy band NLT, McHale is known for his role as Artie Abrams on the Fox television series Glee. As of 2014, he hosts the E4 panel show Virtually Famous in the UK.

Kevin McHale is currently one of the four hosts of Sick of My Voice Show on Main Stage on Dash Radio.

Early life

McHale was born in Plano, Texas, the youngest of four children. McHale is descended from immigrants from County Mayo, Ireland. He grew up with Disney Channel actress and singer Demi Lovato.

Career

Music

Before becoming an actor, McHale joined the American boy group NLT, which stands for "Not Like Them". The R&B group was discovered by Chris Stokes. On March 13, 2007, they released their first single "That Girl". The following month, they opened (with Chantelle Paige) for The Pussycat Dolls. The band also had a guest appearance in Bratz: The Movie. While in the group McHale, along with Timbaland and his bandmates, co-wrote the song “She Said, I Said (Time We Let Go)”. On April 30, 2009, group member Travis Michael Garland announced that NLT had split.

Kevin McHale (basketball)

Kevin Edward McHale (born December 19, 1957) is an American retired professional basketball player who played his entire professional career for the Boston Celtics. He is also a Basketball Hall of Fame inductee. McHale began working for the Minnesota Timberwolves immediately following his retirement in 1993 (until 2009), at different times, as a TV analyst, general manager, and finally head coach. McHale then worked as an on-air analyst for NBA TV and Turner Sports's popular NBA on TNT studio show. He was most recently the head coach of the Houston Rockets.

Early life

McHale was born to Paul Austin McHale and Josephine Patricia Starceviech in Hibbing, Minnesota. In his senior season at Hibbing High School, he was named Minnesota's Mr. Basketball of 1976 and led his team to a runner-up finish in the AA Minnesota State Championship game.

College career

The 6 ft 10 in (208 cm) McHale played basketball at the power forward position for the University of Minnesota from 1976 to 1980, with career averages of 15.2 points and 8.5 rebounds per game.

John Kevin McHale (born 1 October 1939, Mexborough, England) was an English professional footballer who played as a striker for Huddersfield Town, Crewe Alexandra, Chester and Hastings United.

Huddersfield Town Days

Kevin McHale was one of the most gifted youngsters to play for Huddersfield Town and over eleven seasons he became one of Huddersfield's most consistent and familiar postwar players. Despite his inexperience he became one of the steadying figures as Town began adjusting to life in the Second Division during the 1950s and 60s and, after making his debut at just seventeen years old, he was a regular in one of the strongest Town squads of the last fifty years.

Born in 1939, McHale began his career playing for Barnsley and England Schools, before joining First Division Town as a sixteen-year-old in May 1955. The Following season was to be Town's last in the top flight for fourteen years. A right-sided player was brilliant distribution and pace, Kevin's signature was much sought after by Town boss Andy Beattie but the young player delayed signing professional forms until after he gained England Youth honours. He eventually became a full-time professional in October 1956 and made an impressive debut against Leicester City, during which he scored Town's second in a 2–2 draw. It was the start of a long and distinguished career at Leeds Road.
