ABA Games

ABA Games is a Japanese video game developer, composed solely of game designer Kenta Cho. ABA Games' works, available as open source freeware, are predominantly shoot 'em up games often inspired by classic games in the genre. Its games feature stylised retro graphics, innovative gameplay features and modes and are set in random rather than scripted events. These creations have been acclaimed as some of the best and well-known independent games available, though some commentators, including Cho himself, feel they are too simple for commercial release.

Cho began creating computer games as a hobby during his childhood in the 1980s. After leaving university, he pursued a career with Toshiba in multimedia research and development while continuing to develop games in his spare time. The positive reaction to ABA Games' first shoot 'em up, Noiz2sa (2002), encouraged him to concentrate on that genre. The developer's games have been ported from the original Windows versions to Mac OS X and Linux, and various handheld devices. One of its games, Tumiki Fighters, was remade, built upon and released for the Wii console as Blast Works. According to Cho, he occasionally receives interest in further console ports. In addition to Tumiki Fighters, acclaimed ABA Games titles include Gunroar, rRootage and Torus Trooper.

Kenta (musician)

Kenneth "Kenta" Gustafsson, (mostly known just as Kenta) (August 11, 1948 – March 3, 2003), was a Swedish musician.

Gustafsson was born in Nacka, Sweden. He grew up in Vällingby, a suburb northwest of Stockholm. Early in his life Kenta had problems with alcohol and drug addictions, which was the subject for the three documentaries by Stefan Jarl known as The Mod Trilogy. He competed in the Swedish qualifying round for The Eurovision Song Contest in 1980 with the song Utan att fråga, finishing sixth place. His biggest hit was Just idag är jag stark a song about feeling strong after struggling with addiction. He was known as a supporter of the Swedish football team Hammarby IF who adopted Just idag är jag stark as their anthem.

He died in Järfälla, Sweden in 2003.

Kenta Kobayashi

Kenta Kobayashi (小林 健太, Kobayashi Kenta, born March 12, 1981) is a Japanese professional wrestler, best known by his ring name Kenta (stylized in all capital letters). He is signed to the American professional wrestling promotion WWE, where he wrestles for its developmental territory NXT under the ring name Hideo Itami. A former amateur kickboxer, Kobayashi's wrestling style is based upon strong kicks and strikes.

He is best known for his time in Pro Wrestling Noah, however he started his career in All Japan Pro Wrestling (AJPW), before moving to Pro Wrestling Noah; through Noah's involvement in the Global Professional Wrestling Alliance, a global organization of cooperative promotions that allow their competitors to travel abroad to other companies, he has wrestled extensively in American promotion Ring of Honor (ROH). He initially wrestled under his real name, but due to potential confusion with his mentor Kenta Kobashi (in both English and Japanese), he dropped his surname and began only using his given name, which he spells with Roman letters in all capitals.

Aldehyde

An aldehyde /ˈældᵻhaɪd/ or alkanal is an organic compound containing a formyl group. The formyl group is a functional group, with the structure R-CHO, consisting of a carbonyl center (a carbon double bonded to oxygen) bonded to hydrogen and an R group, which is any generic alkyl or side chain. The group without R is called the aldehyde group or formyl group. Aldehydes differ from ketones in that the carbonyl is placed at the end of a carbon skeleton rather than between two carbon atoms. Aldehydes are common in organic chemistry. Many fragrances are aldehydes.

Structure and bonding

Aldehydes feature an sp²-hybridized, planar carbon center that is connected by a double bond to oxygen and a single bond to hydrogen. The C-H bond is not acidic. Because of resonance stabilization of the conjugate base, an α-hydrogen in an aldehyde (not shown in the picture above) is far more acidic, with a pKa near 17, than a C-H bond in a typical alkane (pKa about 50). This acidification is attributed to (i) the electron-withdrawing quality of the formyl center and (ii) the fact that the conjugate base, an enolate anion, delocalizes its negative charge. Related to (i), the aldehyde group is somewhat polar.

Cubohemioctahedron

In geometry, the cubohemioctahedron is a nonconvex uniform polyhedron, indexed as U₁₅. Its vertex figure is a crossed quadrilateral.

It is given Wythoff symbol 4/3 4 | 3, although that is a double-covering of this figure.

A nonconvex polyhedron has intersecting faces which do not represent new edges or faces. In the picture vertices are marked by golden spheres, and edges by silver cylinders.

It is a hemipolyhedron with 4 hexagonal faces passing through the model center. The hexagons intersect each other and so only triangle portions of each are visible.
