    Famous quotes by Ken Jacobs:

"It took labor a long time to get this weak and it'll take a long time to get strong again."
"We think PHP is ready for enterprise use."
"Wal-Mart has a tremendous effect on the market. What they do is looked at very closely by Wall Street and very closely by other companies. I suspect we'll see other companies follow their lead."
"A large number of people will still go back to public hospitals and other public services to gain care when they discover the plans they have don't cover them."
"California has continued to buck the national trend."
"We had some lengthy discussion about it with the commissioner .... He had sought further explanation from the umpires in the hearing."
"In some ways Target's been given a free pass because of the perception that since Wal-Mart is the largest player, it can dictate the market in terms of prices, pay and benefits while others simply are forced to go along."
"Universities are concerned about their public image. Often in these cases we've seen involvement from students. That can also have a strong impact on the university: students, faculty, religious leaders."
"That's our goal, period. Put people back to work who aren't working. Help the community, which is pretty dead right now."
