Ken Edwards

Ken Edwards (born in Gibraltar, 1950) is a poet, editor, writer and musician who has lived in England since 1968. He is associated with The British Poetry Revival.

Edwards was educated at King's College, London, and at Goldsmiths'. He has been involved in small-press publishing since 1973, when he started up the magazine Alembic - see ''Alembic'' (UK Poetry Magazine) with two other King's graduates, Robert Gavin Hampson and Peter Barry. He subsequently set up Share Publications, which published a number of poetry pamphlets. In 1978 he moved to Lower Green Farm, outside Orpington, where he set up an artists' commune and began Reality Studios, a magazine that helped introduce the L=A=N=G=U=A=G=E poets to a British readership. He now runs the literary press Reality Street.

Kenny Edwards (rugby league)

Kenny Edwards (born 13 September 1989) is a New Zealand professional rugby league footballer for the Parramatta Eels of the National Rugby League. He primarily plays lock and second-row.

Early life

Born in Levin, New Zealand, Edwards played his junior football for the Levin Knights and Pukekohe Pythons before being signed by the Manly Warringah Sea Eagles.

Club career

In 2008, Edwards played for Manly Warringah Sea Eagles' NYC team, however his contract was terminated at the start of 2009 due to disciplinary reasons.

In 2009, Edwards joined the St. George Illawarra Dragons' NYC team. Later on, he had his contract terminated once again for disciplinary reasons which forced him to sit out the 2011 season.

In 2012, Edwards joined the Southport Tigers in the Gold Coast Rugby League. After acting as a trainer in one of the Tigers' Under-17s matches, Edwards was accused of repeatedly inciting his team to fight their opponents. He was subsequently banned for the rest of the season, but had the charges downgraded on appeal and was freed to play for Southport in the finals.
