Karji
Karji is a small village in the Ratnagiri district of Maharashtra state in India. It is located in the Khed taluka on the Khed - Bahirawli road, about 18 km from Khed.
Karji (village code 03988500) consists of four sub-villages (Tambe Mohallah, Choughle Mohallah, Rehmat Mohallah and Amshet,karji gavalwadi), with over 600 homes and a total population approaching 3000. Community surnames include Jadhav, Tambe, Parkar, Choughle & yedre, burte, dhanavade, devrukhkar, nadkar, jagde, gawade. The main religions are Hinduism, Buddhism and Islam.(Hindu kunbi samaj).

There are many muhalls like tambe muhalla, rehmat muhalla, etc. Education is available in Urdu and Marathi, and Adarsha High School and Junior College in Karji was one of the first schools at this level in the area. Karji is located in Heart of KHADIPATA 18 km from Khed and 20 km from Railway Station Karji is surrounded by two rivers one is JAG BUDI. The main source is Farming i.e. Rice and most of young people are working in Middle east i.e. Oman, Saudia, Kuwait, UAE, Bahrain and Qatar.
