Kanchana 2 (marketed as Muni 3: Kanchana 2) is a 2015 Tamil horror comedy film produced, written and directed by Raghava Lawrence, who enacted dual roles in it. It is the third installment in the Muni series after Muni 2: Kanchana. The film, also featuring Taapsee Pannu, Nithya Menen and Kovai Sarala in lead roles, released worldwide on 17 April 2015. The Telugu version Ganga was released on 1 May 2015.
The film begins with a couple visiting a friend's home for dinner. To their surprise, the hosts are not home and the place is haunted. In the present, Raghava (Raghava Lawrence) is a cameraman for the channel Green TV where his girlfriend Nandini (Tapsee Pannu) also works. When Green TV drops down to second position in the ratings, Nandini advises to shoot a horror program to bring their channel back to the first position. After the board members agree on this plan, Nandini decides on a location with a house with an intense haunted look, without knowing the fact that it is actually haunted. She sets out with Raghava, his watchman Mayil (Mayilsamy), Dr. Prasad (Sriman) and the anchor Pooja (Pooja Ramachandran) to complete the task.

Vasundhara Devi, known by her stage name Kanchana (born 16 August 1939) is a noted Indian actress of the 1960s and 1970s. She acted in all four major south Indian languages: Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam, as well as in a few Hindi films.
She was born as Vasundhara Devi in a wealthy family originally from Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh. They moved to Madras (present Chennai) in Tamil Nadu, where Kanchana was born. She learnt Bharata Natyam and Music.
Her father suffered business losses, and she went to work as an air hostess to support her family, when she was discovered by the film director C. V. Sridhar on a plane where he was a passenger. He gave her the lead role in his film Kaadhalikka Neramillai in 1963 and changed her name to Kanchana, since there was already another actress named Vasundhara Devi, mother of star Vyjayanthimala. Kanchana acted in over 150 films – Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Hindi, with a successful acting career.
She retired from films in the early 1980s. In 2005, she was presented with the MGR award and in 2007 the ANR Swarna Kankanam award.
Kanchana (Telugu: కాంచన) is a 1952 drama film produced simultaneously in Telugu, Malayalam and Tamil languages. It was produced and directed by S. M. Sriramulu Naidu under Pakshiraj Studios. The Malayalam version is entitled Kanjana. The story is based on a popular Tamil novel Kanchanayin Kanavu, authored by Lakshmi Thiripurasundari.
Pushpanathan is Zamindar of Mathur and his widowed mother Ponnammal. He is persuaded by his college mate Manohar to start a textile mill. Manohar manages to manipulate and divert Pushpanathan's wealth. He introduces Pushpanathan to a dancer in the city, Bhanumathi. Bhanumathi, though daughter of a prostitute, leads an honorable life. Bhanumathi is in love with Pushpanathan.
Neelamegham Pillai, the former accountant of the Zamindari, now lives in utter poverty. His grandchildren are Kanchana and Sabeshan. Pushpanathan comes to help his family. He becomes enamoured by Kanchana and weds her. He assures Bhanumathi that his marriage will not affect his love for her. Kanchana is ill-treated by her mother-in-law. She is heart-broken when she comes to know of her husband's relationship with Bhanumathi. The financial crisis caused by the construction of the textile mill and domestic worries disturbs Pushanathan's peace of mind.
