Kaij is a tehsil in Beed District, Maharashtra, India.
In 19th century(1876 AD), Shri Swami Samarth visited Kaij and for his memorial, a 'Matth'(Hindu's holy place of dedication to God) was built by Mr. Deshpande, ruler of Kaij. In 20th century, Kaij was in Hyderabad kingdom up-to 1948 and was visited by Nizam. On request of Vatandars and Patils, Kaij was come into existence as a Taluka. Since then Kaij is one of the oldest Talukas in Beed district.
Kaij town has many popular Temples, Masjids and Darga's. Ram Mandir, Maruti Mandir, Mahadev Mandir, Ganpati Mandir, Bhavani Devi Mandir, Jama Masjid, Madina Masjid, Noorani Masjid, Hazrat Khwaja Mohajboddin Darga, Samarth Math, Tambaweshwar temple of Tambava village, Uttareshwar temple of Uttreshwar Pimpri village and Balaji Mandir are few of holy places in Kaij.
Kaij is situated in the hilly area. Almost every direction has about 70-80 feets high altitude. Kaij is situated among lower space of these hills.

Toho has produced a variety of Kaiju films over the years (many that featured Godzilla and Mothra) but other Japanese studios contributed to expanding the genre in Japan by producing Kaiju films and shows of their own, studios including Daiei Film Co., Ltd., Kadokawa Pictures, Tsuburaya Productions, Shochiku, and Nikkatsu studios.
Kaij Vidhan Sabha constituency (Marathi: केज विधान सभा मतदारसंघ) is one of the 288 Vidhan Sabha (legislative assembly) constituencies of Maharashtra state in western India.
Kaij (constituency number 232) is one of the six Vidhan Sabha constituencies located in the Beed district. It covers the entire Kaij tehsil and parts of the Ambajogai and Beed tehsils of this district. This constituency is reserved for the candidates belonging to the Scheduled castes
Kaij is part of the Beed Lok Sabha constituency along with all other Vidhan Sabha segments in this district, namely Parli, Majalgaon, Georai, Beed and Ashti.
