Throughout this universe of Basilisk, there are a moderate amount of characters featured. The characters within Basilisk shall now each be noted within an extended article:
Kouga Ninja
The Kouga specialize in stealth and assassination with techniques that, for the most part, rely on subterfuge. Even abilities designed for battle, such as Gennosuke's Dojutsu, tend to be defensive in nature.
Kouga Gennosuke
Kouga Gennosuke (甲賀 弦之介 Kōga Gennosuke) he adopted heir of Kouga Danjou who assumes leadership of the clan following his grandfather's death. An idealist and scholar who believes in looking to the future instead of being dominated by the past, Gennosuke views the pursuit of any grudge to be an ultimately pointless and self-destructive practice. He adheres to his ideals even after learning of the Hattori Truce's absolvement, prompting him to lead the Kouga on an expedition to Sunpu to plead with former Shogun Ieyasu and Hattori Hanzo to reinstate the treaty before any further bloodshed occurs. Yet despite being a man of peace, if pushed into a corner Gennosuke is more than capable of killing anyone who threatens him or his clansmen. In addition to his skill with the sword, Gennosuke wields a power passed down his bloodline called Dojutsu. A hypnosis technique, Dojutsu allows Gennosuke the ability to reverse the homicidal intent of anyone who meets his stare directly effectively causing them to kill themselves instead of him. Because of his power, The Iga level the playing field by temporarily blinding Gennosuke with the same Seven Days of Darkness ointment Oboro used on herself.
Basilisk
In European bestiaries and legends, a basilisk (/ˈbæsɪlɪsk/ or /ˈbæzɪlɪsk/, from the Greek βασιλίσκος basilískos, "little king;" Latin regulus) is a legendary reptile reputed to be king of serpents and said to have the power to cause death with a single glance. According to the Naturalis Historia of Pliny the Elder, the basilisk of Cyrene is a small snake, "being not more than twelve fingers in length," that is so venomous, it leaves a wide trail of deadly venom in its wake, and its gaze is likewise lethal; its weakness is in the odor of the weasel, which, according to Pliny, was thrown into the basilisk's hole, recognizable because all the surrounding shrubs and grass had been scorched by its presence. It is possible that the legend of the basilisk and its association with the weasel in Europe was inspired by accounts of certain species of Asiatic snakes (such as the king cobra) and their natural predator, the mongoose.
Accounts
The basilisk is called "king" because it is reputed to have on its head a mitre- or crown-shaped crest. Stories of the basilisk show that it is not completely distinguished from the cockatrice. The basilisk is alleged to be hatched by a cockerel from the egg of a serpent or toad (the reverse of the cockatrice, which was hatched from a cockerel's "egg" incubated by a serpent or toad). In Medieval Europe, the description of the creature began taking on features from cockerels.
Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic
Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic is a role-playing video game developed by BioWare and published by LucasArts. Written by Drew Karpyshyn, the soundtrack for the game was composed by Jeremy Soule. It was released for the Xbox on July 15, 2003, for Microsoft Windows on November 19, 2003, on September 7, 2004 for Mac OS X, and on May 30, 2013 for iOS iPad, which was later updated on December 19, 2013 for iPhone and iPod Touch and on the December 23, 2014 on Google Play for Android devices. The Xbox version is playable on Xbox 360 via the latter's Backward Compatibility feature.
The sequel, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II – The Sith Lords, was developed by Obsidian Entertainment at BioWare's suggestion as BioWare wanted to focus on their own intellectual properties.
Gameplay
Players choose from three basic character classes at the beginning of the game, and later choose from three Jedi subclasses. Beyond class, a character has "skills" stats, tiered "feats", and later on, tiered Force powers, similar to magic spells in fantasy games. Feats and Force powers are unlocked every level-up, while the player is given skill points to distribute among their skills every level.
Basilisk (D'erlanger album)
Basilisk is the second album by Japanese rock band D'erlanger, released on March 7, 1990. It reached number 5 on the Oricon charts.
History
The album was remastered, along with La Vie En Rose, and released on April 21, 1995. It, along with the rest of the band's albums, was remastered and released again on April 18, 2007. The arrangement for all tracks is credited to D'erlanger, except "So...", which is credited to D'erlanger and Jimmy of 44Magnum, and "Bara Iro no Jinsei", which is credited to D'erlanger and Dahlia.
"Bara Iro no Jinsei" is a re-worked version of the title track from La Vie En Rose, and "I Can't Live Without You" was originally on their first album as well. The single version of "Darlin'" is slightly different than the album's. The single "Lullaby -1990-" includes part of "Moon and the Memories", titled "Moon and the Memories 2", as a b-side. Incomplete versions of "Darlin'" and "Crime and Punishment" appear on D'erlanger's 2007 greatest hits album Pandora. Their 2010 self-cover album A Fabulous Thing in Rose includes new re-recordings of "Incarnation of Eroticism", "Sad Song", "So...", "Moon and the Memories", and "Darlin'"

Kagerou (band)
Kagerou (蜉蝣, Kagerō) was a Japanese visual keirock band, formed in September 1999 by vocalist Daisuke and bassist Masaya, with guitarist Yuana joining shortly afterward. In 2000 Kagerou left their record label Loop Ash to sign with Lizard, a sub-label of Free-Will. After experiencing success within Japan, the band set their sights abroad and in 2005 they played in both Germany and France.
History
At their live on September 16, 2006, at Liquid Room Ebisu, Kagerou announced that they would disband. Member comments on their official website stated that their last live would take place on January 8, 2007 at Zepp Tokyo. On December 27, 2006 they released a final greatest hits album entitled Shinjuka.
Upon releasing their first single in June 2010 and the second in July, Daisuke's solo project, "Daisuke to Kuro no Injatachi", was due to release an album and follow it with a tour in Europe and the US. However, Daisuke died on July 15, 2010.
Daisuke to Kuro no Injatachi then released an album on February 20, 2011. Composed of unfinished works by Daisuke, it was entitled Shikkoku no Hikari (漆黒の光, "Black Light"). It features Shizûmi, Yuana, Kazu, aie (ex:Deadman, The Studs), Kyo (Dir en grey), Tatsurou (MUCC), Karyu (ex: D'espairsRay, Angelo) and members of Merry, 12012, Kannivalism and Boogieman.
