KWWX (1340 AM) is a radio station broadcasting a sports format serving the Wenatchee, Washington, USA area. The station is owned by CCR-Wenatchee IV, LLC.
The station first went on the air has KWWW in the 70s as a pop/disco station. In 1985, it simulcated KW3-FM when it was transitioning to its new FM position at 100.9. That lasted in until 1990, when it adopted a local news format, which lasted a few months. In 1991, the station changed to an golden oldies format. The station changed formats again as KWWX on September 24, 1993 to serve Latino listeners in the Wenatchee community. In 2007, after Cherry Creek Radio's acquisition of KPQ (AM) and KPQ-FM, it moved to 106.7 FM (formally KZPH) so it wouldn't conflict with The Quake 102.1's classic rock format. On January 16, 2008, the station changed its call sign to KZNW and to reflect its new all sports format.
The station changed to the current KWWX call sign on August 10, 2015. It is now an Hispanic format station which it was when it transferred to its AM frequency of 1340. KZNW was dropped by Cherry Creek radio. 106.7 has now emerged as KKWN, a all news/talk format, which is simulcasted on 1370 AM KWNC out of Quincy, WA.
The boat that failed it's only sail
is burning in the river
It's heating up the water mains
while the rest of the house just shivers
It's sinking fast
straight through the grass
A buoyant mask
A medical grasp
and that... was
all I had to give her
...but I will take my hand's mistakes
Stay afloat in
this flushing river
With the smell of your soul
and fix the bridge that
bowed
from the blows that age delivers
But I fear collapse...
as your
weight will pass
You know... I love you more that you will know
Something
is coming for us
t's coming through the vents
.for the worst and
best.
And so it seems
Like old beliefs...
We're struggling in the
water
Fishing for a fish that knows
of a way to save the other...
Don't turn
blue
It's turning the room...
and as it spins the violence
coats the walls
in bother...
Carousels and comet tails
are somewhere in this river
...and
