KYET (1180 AM) is a radio station broadcasting a News Talk Information format. Licensed to Williams, Arizona, USA, it serves the Flagstaff area. The station is currently owned by Grand Canyon Gateway Broadcasting, LLC and features programing from AP Radio and ABC Radio. It is currently not operating, and has been silent for some time. KYET holds a construction permit from the FCC to change frequency to 1170 kHz and relocate approximately 100 miles west to Golden Valley, Arizona.
The station went on the air as KDAN on 1983-06-06. On 1991-08-12, the station changed its call sign to the current KYET. Previously, this call-sign, KYET, had been assigned to a 500 watt AM radio station with its transmitter in Payette, Idaho, and the studios in Ontario, Oregon.[1]
