History
KSXE began airing a Rhythmic Contemporary format on August 3, 2006. But prior to its debut it stunted with a "Porn Radio" format, which made headlines in the music trades. It described its format "Rhythmic for Adults", but because of the large Hispanic population, they also played some freestyle (Hip-hop, Urban Dance and Rock en Espanol) with Latin rhythmic cuts.
When the station first began airing a Rhythmic Contemporary format, it was known as KFYE up until it March 30, 2007, when after a week of speculation it changed its calls to KSXE, which they did so it can match its on-air moniker.
During the Summer of 2007 KSXE began shifting away from Rhythmic AC to a Top 40/CHR direction with a Rhythmic lean, and by September 2007 completed the transition. On Tuesday, October 30, 2007, "Sexy 106.3" became known as "Power 106".
