K-3 cart

The K-3 cart is a 2-wheel, strongly constructed wire cart, similar to artillery caissons, but equipped for carrying and reeling out wire; used together with Signal cart, type K-4, to form the wagon formerly called "Pintle wire wagon, model 1910"

The image from Electrical instruments and telephones of the US Signal Corps 1911 is accompanied by the following text: "In the latest model the front element of the vehicle carries the reel and wire and is known as the reel cart. The rear element, known as the signal cart, is a chest of compartments suitable for carrying the buzzers, batteries, flags, field glasses and other equipment used by field companies of the Signal Corps. The rear signal cart may be detached from the reel cart and the former used alone in laying and recovering wire. The pintle type wagon is drawn by four horses. The signal cart chest can be moved forward and backward to adjust weight on the horses' necks".

K-3 (rifle)

The K-3 is an Armenian bullpup assault rifle chambered for 5.45×39mm ammunition with a selective fire system, selecting between semi-automatic mode, burst mode, and full automatic fire mode. Little is known about the production and variants of these firearms, as its production is veiled in secrecy, but it is evident they are being used by the Armenian Special Forces, as was displayed in a recent military parade.

Design

First unveiled in October 1996, the K-3 5.45 mm assault rifle is based on the Kalashnikov action, reconfigured into a bullpup layout. By October 1996, over 40 examples of the K-3 had been manufactured in Armenia, although series production had yet entered mass production.

Conceived by the Military Industrial Department of the Armenian Ministry of Defence, the K-3 has been produced in a basic iron-sight form, with the option of mounting a standard PSO-1 ×4 telescopic sight, also produced in Armenia.

K-3 is said to inherit all of the AK-74's advantages in terms of durability and firepower. Yet K-3 supersedes AK-74 in terms of minimisation of recoil, accuracy, ergonomics, balancing and mobility.

K-3 (Kansas highway)

K-3 is a 43.262-mile-long (69.623 km) state highway in southeastern Kansas that runs through Crawford, Bourbon and Linn counties from K-47 near Girard to K-31 near Blue Mound. It was designated around 1932, and the entire route was paved by 1958. The road is maintained by the Kansas Department of Transportation (KDOT), and is a two-lane road for its entire length. The route's concurrency with U.S. Route 54 (US-54) is a part of the National Highway System.

Route description

K-3 begins at an intersection with K-47 west of Girard in Crawford County and heads north on a two-lane road through plains. Approximately three miles (4.8 km) north of its southern terminus, the route passes through the small community of Brazilton. North of here, the highway curves to the west, intersects the eastern terminus of K-146, and turns back to the north. K-3 crosses a branch of the Walnut Creek and continues north and cuts through Hepler. The route then enters Bourbon County. North of the county line, K-3 turns east and begins a concurrency with K-39. Shortly after, the highway leaves K-39 and turns to the north, continuing in that direction for about seven miles (11 km) before bending to the northwest. K-3 then curves to the north and crosses the Marmaton River.
