Features of the Marvel Universe

The comic book stories published by Marvel Comics since the 1940s have featured several noteworthy concepts besides its fictional characters, such as unique places and artifacts. The following lists detail many of them.

Places

Certain places feature prominently in the Marvel Universe, some real-life, others fictional and unique to the setting; fictional places may appear in conjunction with, or even within, real- world locales. A majority of dystopian cities have been used for their characters since the creation of Marvel Comics in the Marvel Universe.

New York City

Most of the action of Marvel Comics takes place in New York City.

KMSW

KMSW (92.7 FM) is a radio station licensed to serve The Dalles, Oregon, USA. The station, established in 2002, is currently owned by Bicoastal Media and the broadcast license is held by Bicoastal Media Licenses IV, LLC.

KMSW broadcasts a classic rock music format. KMSW shares radio studio space with sister stations KACI and KACI-FM at 719 East 2nd Street in The Dalles.

History

This station received its original construction permit from the Federal Communications Commission on May 18, 2000. The new station was assigned the KMSW call sign by the FCC on August 1, 2000. KMSW received its license to cover from the FCC on January 22, 2003.

In February 2007, original owners M.S.W. Communications, LLC, reached an agreement to sell this station to Bicoastal Media through their Bicoastal Columbia River, LLC, subsidiary as part of a five-station deal valued at 2,775,000. The deal was approved by the FCC on September 13, 2007, and the transaction was consummated on December 1, 2007. As part of an internal corporate reorganization, Bicoastal Media filed an application with the FCC in October 2007 to transfer the broadcast license for KMSW from Bicoastal Columbia River, LLC, to Bicoastal Media Licenses IV, LLC. The transfer was conditionally approved by the FCC on October 29, 2007, and the transaction was consummated on December 1, 2007.

KLRK

KLRK (1590 AM, "101.3 Party") is a radio station broadcasting an adult hits format. Licensed to Mexia, Texas, USA, the station serves the Waco area. The station was formerly owned by Simmons Media Group, and is currently owned by M&M Broadcasters, Ltd.

On February 29, 2012 KLRK changed their format to adult hits, branded as "101.3 Bob FM", also broadcasting on FM translator K267AI 101.3 FM Moody, Texas.

On February 28, 2013 KLRK changed their format to regional Mexican, branded as "La Caliente".

On April 18, 2014 KLRK changed their format to adult hits, branded as "101.3 Party".

On February 3, 2015 KLRK rchanged their format to adult contemporary and rebranded as "Mix 101.3".
