Prince Hans of the Southern Isles is a fictional character from Walt Disney Animation Studios' 53rd animated film, Frozen. Hans is voiced by Santino Fontana in the film, and later portrayed by Tyler Jacob Moore in the live action television series Once Upon a Time.

Hans is the thirteenth prince of the Southern Isles. Knowing that he will be unable to inherit the throne of his own country, he concocts a scheme to usurp the throne of another kingdom through marriage. Although he is portrayed as honest and noble throughout most of the film, he is later revealed to be cold, calculating, and cruel in nature.

The reveal of Hans’ villainy is a major plot twist in Frozen, this being revealed in the film's final act. Despite the acclaim that the film has received, Hans' betrayal has been the subject of mixed reception from some critics. While the character's mastery of trickery and Fontana's performance have been praised, Hans' villainous reveal has been criticized for being too upsetting and confusing for the film's younger viewers. Others have considered the character's shift in personality to be a valuable lesson that children can learn from.

Julia (Venezuelan telenovela)

Julia is a 1983 Venezuelan telenovela produced by Venevisión. The telenovela was written by Humberto "Kiko" Olivieri and starred Hilda Carrero and Eduardo Serrano as the main protagonists.

In 2010, Telemundo produced a remake titled El fantasma de Elena.

Plot

Eduardo suffers an accident on his yacht and is found on a beach by Julia, a beautiful and humble girl who lives near the beach off the Venezuelan coast. Julia takes the stranger to her house where she lives with her father and a profound love develops between them. At first glance, her father notices the differences between the two. Eduardo convinces Julia they get married and move to the city since they have already made love. Eduardo is a wealthy widower and takes Julia to his mansion in Caracas. His family treats her harshly, especially Eduardo's sister Rebecca who sees her as an opportunist.

In the mansion, Julia is captivated by a large painting of a beautiful woman which hangs in a most privileged place in the house. She later learns the picture is that of Eduardo's first wife also called Julia who committed suicide a year ago by throwing herself from the top floor window of the mansion. From that moment on, everyone begins to compare her with the deceased, especially Benjamín, Eduardo's young nephew. Julia begins to notice strange things and secrets in the Uzcátegui family such as strange noises from the walls, people disappearing, unexplained murders and illicit relations. Everyone believes this is caused by Julia's ghost, as several family members and the servants claim to have seen her ghost. Also, a rumor begins that Eduardo murdered his wife.

The Avatar

The Avatar is the main character in the series. The Avatar is first known as the Stranger from another world, who defeats Mondain, Minax, and their spawn, Exodus. The Stranger becomes the Avatar once his goal changes to following the path of the Virtues, and retrieving the Codex of Ultimate Wisdom from the Great Stygian Abyss. This is noted as one of the first uses of "Avatar" in the virtual context. In the fifth episode, the Avatar defeats a repressive regime over Britannia, and in the sixth he brings peace between men and gargoyles.
