Julia Campbell

Julia Campbell (born March 12, 1962) is an American film and television actress. Her most noted role to date was "mean girl" Christie Masters-Christensen, in Romy and Michele's High School Reunion.

Career

Campbell had a starring role in the feature film, Tillamook Treasure (2006), in which she plays Kathryn Kimbell, the mother of the story's lead character. She has appeared on such television shows as Still Standing, Martial Law, and Herman's Head, Ally McBeal, Seinfeld ("The Frogger" episode), Friends, House M.D, The Mentalist, The Practice, The Pretender, and Dexter.

Some of her earliest notable roles were on the daytime soap operas Ryan's Hope (in which she played Ryan granddaughter Maura "Katie" Thompson) and Santa Barbara (in which she played Courtney Capwell) and the comedy film Livin' Large. In 2009, she guest starred on the NBC drama Heroes as Mary Campbell, mother of a new recurring character, Luke, in the episode "Trust and Blood".

She appeared on the last episode of the series The Shield, as a lawyer for Dutch's partner, Steve Billings, who is instantly attracted to Dutch.

Julia Campbell (journalist)

Julia Campbell (January 25, 1967 – April 8, 2007) was an American journalist. She disappeared on April 8, 2007 while working as a U.S. Peace Corps volunteer in the Philippines and discovered on April 18 in a shallow grave where she had been buried after being murdered.

The Philippine House of Representatives awarded her with its "Congressional Medal of Achievement" in June 2007. Later, an eco-park in the Philippines was established as a memorial.

Personal

Julia Campbell was the daughter of US Marine Lt. Col. William R. Campbell Jr and Linda Martin Campbell. She graduated with an English degree from James Madison University (Virginia Senate Joint Resolution, No. 149, 1988).

Career

She began her journalism career with The Connection, which is a newspaper in Virginia. From there she worked for the Greenwich Time in Connecticut, The Times Herald-Record in New York, and the St. Petersburg Times in Florida (Virginia Senate Joint Resolution, No. 149, 1988). Prior to her Peace Corps stint, she worked as a journalist based in New York City, having worked for ABCNews.com and CourtTV and had contributed as a freelancer to The New York Times and People magazine, among others. A notable event while working as a freelance reporter with the Times was when she was arrested while covering the funeral of Notorious B.I.G., a rapper. She was charged with disorderly conduct for verbally arguing with a police officer at the funeral. The charges were later dropped. She covered Typhoon Durian, also known as Reming, from the Philippines.

Julia Campbell (footballer)

Julia Petryce Campbell (born 1 April 1965) is a former New Zealand association football player who represented her country.

Campbell made her Football Ferns debut in a 3–0 win over a Hawaii XI on 12 December 1987 and ended her international career with 29 caps and 3 goals to her credit.

Campbell represented New Zealand at the Women's World Cup finals in China in 1991 playing all 3 group games; a 0–3 loss to Denmark, a 0–4 loss to Norway and a 1–4 loss to China.
