Vendetta (1995 film)

Vendetta is a 1995 film directed by Mikael Håfström. It stars Stefan Sauk as the Swedish intelligence officer Carl Hamilton and as his adversary Don Tommaso, Ennio Fantastichini. A mini series for television was filmed at the same time. It was aired as 6 episodes of 50-60 minutes each.

Plot

Carl Hamilton gets assigned to go to Sicily in order to free two Swedish business men who are kept captured by a local villain named Don Tommaso. The Don wants a Swedish naval robot system in exchange for his hostages. In the beginning Hamilton acts merely as a negotiator, but when he cannot accept the demands of his counterpart the situation escalates.

Hamilton stands up against Don Tommaso, while abduction and murder becomes the language of negotiation. A classical vendetta has been initiated, as narcotics from Colombia and the Italian intelligence community become involved.

Vendetta is a 1989 beat 'em up video game released by System 3 for the Amstrad CPC, Commodore 64, and ZX Spectrum.

Plot

A group of terrorists have kidnapped a professor working on a bomb as well as his daughter. A few weeks later, they have started to make impossible demands and have threatened to detonate a miniature nuclear weapon if the demands are not met.

The protagonist, initially armed with only a knife, decides to rescue both individuals. Along the way, he collects other weapons and evidence to convince other police officers to let him continue his work, as he heads to an army base, a booby-trapped airplane, and finally central park where the terrorists make the last stand.

Development

Vendetta was based on the same rendering method and display used by The Last Ninja, but used a rewritten engine. This game engine was then used for the game Last Ninja 3.

Vendetta received 93% from Zzap!64.

Vendetta is a 1999 HBO original movie based on actual events that took place in New Orleans on March 14, 1891. Eighteen Italian-Americans were falsely accused of the murder of the police chief. After their acquittal, eleven of them were shot or hanged in one of the largest mass lynchings in American history.

The teleplay by Timothy Prager is based on Richard Gambino's book, Vendetta: The True Story of the Largest Lynching in U.S. History (ISBN 1550711032).

Nicolas Charles Seringe

Nicolas Charles Seringe (December 3, 1776 – December 29, 1858) was a French physician and botanist born in Longjumeau.

He studied medicine in Paris, and subsequently served as a military surgeon. In this role he was involved in the German campaign under General Jean Victor Marie Moreau (1763-1813). Afterwards, he left the army and relocated to Bern, where he developed an interest in botany. From 1801 to 1820, he taught classes in Bern, followed by similar duties in Geneva (1820-1830). In 1830 he was named director of the Jardin de Plantes de Lyon, and from 1834 he taught classes at the University of Lyon.

Seringe belonged to several learned societies, including the Linnean Society of Lyon, of which he was a founding member. Among his written efforts were an 1815 monograph on willows native to Switzerland, a treatise on Swiss cereal grains titled "Monographie des céréales de la Suisse" (1818) and a work on cereal grains of Europe called "Descriptions et figures des céréales européennes" (1841).

Nicole Natalino

Nicole Monserrat Natalino Torres (born March 5, 1989) is a Chilean singer and model from the band Kudai, she left the band in 2006, and in 2008 made a comeback with her solo music career.

Biography

Early life

Nicole Natalino started by doing voices for commercials and her musical debut was at the age of 10. Even though she was a very shy girl, her mother convinced her attend the casting for CIAO. The casting for the group CIAO was held in Chile by their later manager Pablo Vega. Nicole was chosen, along with another girl and two boys (Pablo Holman and Tomas Manzi), by Pablo Vega and together they began their musical career. CIAO sang Italian songs translated to Spanish for children. Together Nicole Natalino, Pablo Holman, Tomas Manzi, and Barbara Sepulveda achieved a successful musical career. Due to their success as CIAO and their age, years later they became Kudai; still under Pablo Vega's management. Together they chose the groups new name, Kudai which they took from the word in mapudungun kudau that means "hard-working young man". In 2004 they met Guz (Gustavo Pinochet) and along with Guz the group wrote their first album as teens and Kudai titled "Vuelo".

The primary component, Nu Serpentis A, is a white A-type main sequence dwarf with an apparent magnitude of +4.32. It is separated from Nu Serpentis B, a magnitude +8.4 companion, by 46 arcseconds.
