Josh Osborne

Josh Osborne (born 1980) is an American country music songwriter with several #1 singles to his credit.

Early life

Josh Osborne was born in Pike County, Kentucky, and raised in Virgie, Kentucky. Josh grew up on US 23, renamed Country Music Highway by the state of Kentucky in honor of the many country music artists and musicians that had come from the area, and developed a deep love of country music, particularly artists like Keith Whitley and Dwight Yoakam. His father encouraged him to write songs because of his love of music, and encouraged him to listen to The Beatles, which made Josh want to become a songwriter. Josh graduated from Shelby Valley High School in 1998 and moved right after graduation to Nashville where he signed his first publishing contract with Warner Chappell Music.

Career

Osborne signed a publishing agreement with Black River Entertainment in 2010. His first number one hit as a songwriter was "Come Over," performed by Kenny Chesney. The song spent two weeks at the top of the Billboard Country Airplay charts. Osborne's song "Merry Go 'Round," co-written with Kacey Musgraves and Shane McAnally, became a top 10 Billboard Country Airplay hit for Musgraves, and has sold over one million copies to achieve Platinum status. The song went on to win the Grammy Award for Best Country Song of the Year, in recognition of the songwriters, at the 56th Grammy Awards.

Glen Osborne, Pennsylvania

Glen Osborne (formerly named Osborne) is a borough in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, along the Ohio River. The population was 547 at the 2010 census.

History

The area that now comprises the borough was first surveyed by Nathaniel Breading following the Revolutionary War. Early settlers of the area included Henry Pratt in 1786 and James Park in 1805. The area became known as "Glen Osborne," the glen referring to a Scottish term for a valley formed by a stream, and "Osborne" for local landowner Frank Osborne. By 1851, the Pittsburgh, Fort Wayne and Chicago Railroad was built through what was then part of Pitt and Ohio townships and a station opened in the community named "Osborne" to prevent confusion from a similarly-named station. In 1883 following petitioning by local residents, the borough of Osborne was incorporated.

In 2008, borough officials led by then-mayor William P. Boswell petitioned the state to allow the renaming of the borough to Glen Osborne to reflect the name residents have been using for over one hundred years. A judge granted the name change on May 21 of that year leading to the immediate replacement of road signs and phasing out of the old name on stationery and welcome signs in the borough.

Osborne is a former provincial electoral division in the Canadian province of Manitoba. It was created by redistribution in 1957, and was abolished in 1999.

The riding was located in south-central Winnipeg. When it was abolished, most of its territory was given to the new ridings of Fort Rouge and Lord Roberts.

Plot

Tabloid TV reporter Judy Warren (Kate Vernon) knows she's come across a big story when she sees the videotape shot by two tourists in a remote Alaskan park. The tape shows Josh Butler, a recluse who lives in a cabin near the park, bringing back to life a young girl who has died after a fall, a feat he accomplishes by generating a mysterious blue glow. But, she only discovers how big a story it is when her pursuit of the strange young man is cut short by a top-secret military unit that is also chasing him.

It seems that the blue glow sent out electromagnetic pulses that knocked out two satellites orbiting 20,000 miles above the Earth, and the Air Force wants to know what's going on. A battery of tests doesn't produce any answers, leaving the brass, led by Col. Roger Tennent and Major Samuel Harbeck, to debate whether Butler is an alien or an angel — someone to be dissected or to be worshipped. Warren doesn't know what Josh is either, but she knows she doesn't trust the soldiers to make the right choice. This prompts her to try to save the recluse. The episode ends with Josh ascending back to his planet while Judy chooses to destroy this information rather than divulge it.

Josh (Hindi: जोश, Urdu: جوش‎, translation: Frenzy) is a 2000 Bollywood action crime film directed by Mansoor Khan. The film stars Aishwarya Rai and Chandrachur Singh in the lead roles with Shahrukh Khan and Sharad Kapoor as villains. Priya Gill and Vivek Vaswani play supporting roles. The film is a remake of West Side Story.

Plot

The film is set in a town called Vasco in Goa, named after Alberto Vasco, a Portuguese noble who owned most of the town during the colonial era. There are two rival gangs in Vasco, called the Bichhoos (Scorpions in Hindi), who are Hindus, and the Eagles, who are Christians.

Bichoo gang's leader is Prakash (Sharad Kapoor), while the Eagles are led by Max (Shah Rukh Khan). They are all enemies, they fight, run, chase, and beat. But they are usually stopped from fights by Father Jacob, or the Town Inspector (Sharat Saxena). One day Prakash's brother Rahul (Chandrachur Singh) comes to visit after 2 years, who is a master-chef working in Mumbai. Rahul loves Goa the more he sees of it, and as he tours around Vasco, he meets Shirley (Aishwarya Rai), the twin sister of Max and he falls in love with her straightaway.
