Joshua William "Josh" Dun (born June 18, 1988) is an American musician. He is currently the drummer for the band Twenty One Pilots.
Dun was born in Columbus, Ohio, along with two sisters (Ashley and Abigail) and a brother (Jordan), and taught himself how to play drums when he was young. According to Dun, he was not really allowed to listen to music as a child but would sneak down to the music store once a week and ask for suggestions from the people there. Dun worked at the Guitar Center for three years, also working with Twenty One Pilots' former drummer Chris Salih.
Dun joined House of Heroes in March 2010, after the band's former drummer, Colin Rigsby, took a break to spend more time with his family. He came in after being recommended by Rigsby himself.
Dun took part of House of Heroes' live tour until October, when Rigsby subsequently returned to his duties.
In 2011, Dun went to a Twenty One Pilots' show upon invite by then-drummer Chris Salih, after listening to the band's original demo CD. He was impressed with the trio's performance. He eventually met the band's lead singer, Tyler Joseph, after the show, and a couple of days later, began to spend time together and build a friendship.

"Josh" is an episode of The Outer Limits television show. It was first broadcast on March 6, 1998, during the fourth season.
Tabloid TV reporter Judy Warren (Kate Vernon) knows she's come across a big story when she sees the videotape shot by two tourists in a remote Alaskan park. The tape shows Josh Butler, a recluse who lives in a cabin near the park, bringing back to life a young girl who has died after a fall, a feat he accomplishes by generating a mysterious blue glow. But, she only discovers how big a story it is when her pursuit of the strange young man is cut short by a top-secret military unit that is also chasing him.
It seems that the blue glow sent out electromagnetic pulses that knocked out two satellites orbiting 20,000 miles above the Earth, and the Air Force wants to know what's going on. A battery of tests doesn't produce any answers, leaving the brass, led by Col. Roger Tennent and Major Samuel Harbeck, to debate whether Butler is an alien or an angel — someone to be dissected or to be worshipped. Warren doesn't know what Josh is either, but she knows she doesn't trust the soldiers to make the right choice. This prompts her to try to save the recluse. The episode ends with Josh ascending back to his planet while Judy chooses to destroy this information rather than divulge it.
Josh (Hindi: जोश, Urdu: جوش, translation: Frenzy) is a 2000 Bollywood action crime film directed by Mansoor Khan. The film stars Aishwarya Rai and Chandrachur Singh in the lead roles with Shahrukh Khan and Sharad Kapoor as villains. Priya Gill and Vivek Vaswani play supporting roles. The film is a remake of West Side Story.
The film is set in a town called Vasco in Goa, named after Alberto Vasco, a Portuguese noble who owned most of the town during the colonial era. There are two rival gangs in Vasco, called the Bichhoos (Scorpions in Hindi), who are Hindus, and the Eagles, who are Christians.
Bichoo gang's leader is Prakash (Sharad Kapoor), while the Eagles are led by Max (Shah Rukh Khan). They are all enemies, they fight, run, chase, and beat. But they are usually stopped from fights by Father Jacob, or the Town Inspector (Sharat Saxena). One day Prakash's brother Rahul (Chandrachur Singh) comes to visit after 2 years, who is a master-chef working in Mumbai. Rahul loves Goa the more he sees of it, and as he tours around Vasco, he meets Shirley (Aishwarya Rai), the twin sister of Max and he falls in love with her straightaway.
Dun is a generic term for an ancient or medieval fort. It is mainly used in the British Isles to describe a kind of hill fort and also a kind of Atlantic roundhouse. The term comes from Irish dún or Scottish Gaelic dùn (meaning "fort"), and is cognate with Old Welsh din, whence Welsh dinas (meaning "city") comes.
In some areas duns were built on any suitable crag or hillock, particularly south of the Firth of Clyde and the Firth of Forth. There are many duns on the west coast of Ireland and they feature in Irish mythology. For example, the tale of the Táin Bó Flidhais features Dún Chiortáin and Dún Chaocháin.
Duns seem to have arrived with Celtic cultures in about the 7th century BC. Early duns had near vertical ramparts made of stone and timber. Vitrified forts are the remains of duns that have been set on fire and where stones have been partly melted. Use of duns continued in some parts into the Middle Ages.
Duns are similar to brochs, but are smaller and probably would not have been capable of supporting a very tall structure. Good examples of this kind of dun can be found in the Western Isles of Scotland, on artificial islands in small lakes.
Dün was a French progressive rock band, active from 1978 to 1981, during which they played shows with Magma, Art Zoyd, Etron Fou Leloublan, and almost became a part of the short-lived Rock in Opposition grouping of bands in Europe. In 1981, they recorded an album, Eros, that apparently never secured proper distribution, and as a result is quite rare.
The French label Soleil reissued the Eros album, which included the four tracks from the original LP plus four bonus tracks, three of which are early demo versions of the tracks on the original release.
A dun is a type of fort.
