He rose through the years and became the Commandant of the Military Academy and Training School at Teshie, Accra in 1993. From 1993 to 1996, he was the Commander of the Second Infantry Brigade Group (now known as the Northern Command) with headquarters at Kumasi in the Ashanti Region of Ghana. While in this position, he was appointed Special Task Force Commander to restore law and order in Northern Ghana between January and September 1994 during the Konkomba and Nanumba conflict. In 1996, Smith served as the Company Commander of the United Nations Emergency Force (UNEF) in Egypt. Following this, he was appointed Chief of Staff of the Ghana Army in 1996 by President Jerry Rawlings. He held this position till 2001.

Henry Smith (July 22, 1838 – September 16, 1916 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin) was a millwright, architect, builder and politician who was elected a member of the United States House of Representatives from Wisconsin from 1887 - 1889 as a member of the Union Labor Party. He also served as a Socialist member of the Wisconsin State Assembly in 1878. At different times, Smith ran for office (unsuccessfully or successfully) on the Socialist, Greenback, Democratic and Union Labor tickets.
Smith was born in Baltimore, Maryland; moved with his parents to Massillon, Ohio, and later, in 1844, to Milwaukee. He attended the Milwaukee public schools, and from the age of 13 until he was 17 apprenticed as a bookbinder. His brother taught him the millwright trade in which he worked until he entered politics.
He served as a member of the Milwaukee Common Council from 1868–1872. In the 1877 election, Smith was elected to the State Assembly from Milwaukee County's Sixth District (sixth and thirteenth wards of Milwaukee) as a Socialist, with 618 votes to 381 for Democrat Charles Fashel and 381 for Greenback Jacob Olberman. He served only one term, being defeated in the 1878 election, in which he ran on the Greenback ticket, but received only 253 votes, to 488 for Democrat Alonzo H. Richards and 716 for Republican Christopher Raesser. In 1880 he ran for the Assembly from the Fifth Milwaukee County district on the Democratic ticket against incumbent Isaac Van Schaick, receiving 3778 votes to Van Schaick's 5678.
Henry George Smith (born 10 March 1956 in Lanark, Scotland) was a goalkeeper who played the majority of his career with Heart of Midlothian.
He made his debut for Hearts in a League Cup win over Airdrie at Broomfield in 1981.
He won three caps for Scotland between 1988 and 1992 against Saudi Arabia, Northern Ireland and Canada and was part of the Scotland squad at Euro 92. He was perhaps unfortunate to play during a time when Scotland had the services of Jim Leighton and Andy Goram, which restricted his opportunities at international level.
Henry Smith played in the Home Nations Masters Tournament in March 2009. At 53 years of age, he was the oldest player in the tournament.
Joseph Henry (December 17, 1797 – May 13, 1878) was an American scientist who served as the first Secretary of the Smithsonian Institution. He was the secretary for the National Institute for the Promotion of Science, a precursor of the Smithsonian Institution. He was highly regarded during his lifetime. While building electromagnets, Henry discovered the electromagnetic phenomenon of self-inductance. He also discovered mutual inductance independently of Michael Faraday, (1791-1867), though Faraday was the first to make the discovery and publish his results. Henry developed the electromagnet into a practical device. He invented a precursor to the electric doorbell (specifically a bell that could be rung at a distance via an electric wire, 1831) and electric relay (1835). The SI unit of inductance, the henry, is named in his honor. Henry's work on the electromagnetic relay was the basis of the practical electrical telegraph, invented by Samuel F. B. Morse and Sir Charles Wheatstone, separately.
Joseph Henry (1823-1870) was a French bow maker for string instruments.
Henry studied with Dominique Peccatte and established his own shop in 1851. His bows are quite rare and sought after. They usually play well, but miss the highest quality of bows that were made by his teacher.
Henry was engaged by Pierre (Paul) Simon, c.1848, to work together in partnership (in what were formally D.Peccatte’s Parisian premises). Although this association is thought to have ended acrimoniously in 1851, these few years were extremely fruitful for this pairing. Their work - both independently and in collaboration - garnered considerable acclaim, on one occasion winning them an Honourable Mention at the Great Exhibition in London in 1851. - Peter Oxley, Oxford
Peccatte’s two most well known pupils were Joseph Henry and Pierre Simon. Henry produced a bow similar to a Peccatte but of a somewhat lower general quality. Henry bows sometimes play very well but with the occasional exception seem coarse and clunky by comparison with a fine Peccatte. Simon, on the other hand, was one of the most skilled makers ever.
(Chorus)
If you was my earth and I was your sun
I'd light you with my love cus you are the one
I wanna love forever
One I wanna love forever
(Verse)
It's a shame, the games we play
We make it hard to find love
You late night creepin sent you my way
But it only took a first glance
For me to fall in love
(Pre-Chorus)
Used to be a weekend lover
But now I need to get away from that
Cus a playa can't feel it smashin
I can't stand you leavin me to go and if
(Chorus)
If you was my earth and I was your sun
I'd light you with my love cus you are the one
I wanna love forever
One I wanna love forever
(Verse)
I know that we started from a one time thing
But you couldn't get enough of the tenderness I bring
Kiss is filled with passion and a touch hot enough to melt gold
But yo body became irrelevant as my heart longed for your soul
(Pre-Chorus)
Used to be a weekend lover
But now I need to get away from that
Cus a playa can't feel it smashin
I can't stand you leavin me to go and if
(Chorus)
If you was my earth and I was your sun
I'd light you with my love cus you are the one
I wanna love forever
One I wanna love forever
(Bridge)
I, I don't wanna be a player no more
Why?
Cause you're the only one worth living for
I'll kick my house to the side
And promise to give you my time
(Chorus x2)
If you was my earth and I was your sun
I'd light you with my love cus you are the one
I wanna love forever
One I wanna love forever
