José Cuneo (born 1965) is an Argentine comics artist, painter and illustrator.
Born in Buenos Aires, Cuneo's father was a doctor and his mother a teacher. He moved to France in 1986. He has drawn for Pif Gadget and Gai pied, and has also created public service comics to raise awareness of the threat of AIDS. Like his precursor Copi, he is openly gay and uses his work to candidly address issues of gay life.
Cuneo's work is characterized by stylized figures with eyes facing in all directions. As a painter, he has exhibited his work in Paris and Amsterdam
Cuneo (Italian: [ˈkuːneo] listen ; Piedmontese: Coni; French: Coni [kɔni]) is a city and comune in Piedmont, Northern Italy, the capital of the province of Cuneo, the third largest of Italy’s provinces by area.
It is located at 550 metres (1,804 ft) in the south-west of Piedmont where is the confluence of the rivers Stura and Gesso.
Including all bordering municipalities Beinette, Borgo San Dalmazzo, Boves, Busca, Caraglio, Castelletto Stura, Centallo, Cervasca, Morozzo, Peveragno, Tarantasca and Vignolo the population is 123,301 inhabitants.

Cuneo was founded in 1198 by the local population, who declared it an independent commune, freeing themselves from the authority of the bishops of Asti and the marquisses of Montferrat and Saluzzo. In 1210 the latter occupied it, and in 1231 the Cuneesi rebelled. In 1238 they were recognized as free commune by Emperor Frederick II.

They are the current champions of the Italian Volleyball League, having won the Championship Game (3-1) against Trentino Volley on May 9, 2010. The club was founded in 1958 under the name of Cuneo Volley Ball Club and renamed Piemonte Volley in 2001, after the acquisition of glorious but long-ailing CUS Torino Pallavolo.
