Motorcade of Generosity is the debut studio album by American alternative rock band Cake. It was released on February 7, 1994 through Capricorn Records label.
In the band's March 12, 2008 newsletter Cake announced a re-issue of the album in the form of a "special edition value added Digipak configuration including bonus video content and a Motorcade decal", also mentioning a future release of the album on vinyl. The re-issue was, however, later pushed back. In the June 2nd fan newsletter, Cake announced Upbeat Record's June 9 re-release of Motorcade of Generosity. On January 14, 2009 a special limited edition orange vinyl re-issue of the album was made available for purchase on the band's official website. It sold out in two days. The band announced plans to release a black vinyl and CD re-issue in the spring.
Motorcade of Generosity has received a mixed-to-favorable response from critics. AllMusic critic Darryl Cater stated that "Cake's minimalist jams occasionally get repetitive." Nevertheless, Cater also noted that "there are enough standouts here to easily qualify Motorcade as a keeper." Music reviewer Robert Christgau described the album as "unambiguity from the near side of cool."

Johanna is a feminine name, a variant form of Joanna that originated in Latin in the Middle Ages, including an -h- by analogy with the Latin masculine name Johannes. The original Greek form Iōanna lacks a medial /h/ because in Greek /h/ could only occur initially. For more information on the name's origin, see the article on Joanna.
Johanna (or Joanna) was an East Indiaman for the British East India Company (EIC), possibly named for the island of Anjouan, then known as Johanna. She made five voyages for the EIC between c. 1671 and 1681, On her sixth voyage she became the first Indiaman lost on the South African coast when she wrecked in February 1682.
Captain Hopefar Bendall was her captain for the first five, successful voyages.
For her sixth voyage, Johanna was under the command of Captain Robert Brown. She left the Downs on 24 February 1682, and wrecked near the Cape Agulhas on 8 June 1682, while in a convoy to India with four other ships. Ten persons lost their lives, while the remaining 104 were able to make their way to Cape Town.
A considerable amount of gold was on board. Dutch East India Company governor of the Cape Simon van der Stel immediately recovered some of it. Three hundred years later, in 1982, treasure hunters salvaged a further 23,000 coins and several hundred kilograms of silver.
Johanna is an East German television series broadcast in 1989. It stars Ute Lubosch as the titular Berlin tram driver Johanna Rothermund.
