Çatalca is a city and a rural district in Istanbul, Turkey, as Ancient Metr(a)e a former bishopric and Latin Catholic titular see.
It is in East Thrace, on the ridge between the Marmara and the Black Sea. Most people living in Çatalca are either farmers or those visiting vacation homes. Many families from Istanbul come to Çatalca during weekends to hike in the forests or have picnics.
Çatalca's ancient Greek name was Ergískē (Ἐργίσκη). Ergiske (Ancient Greek: Ἐργίσκη) was an ancient Greek city in Thrace, located in the region of the Propontis.
According to Suida, the Greek name is after Ergiscus (Ἐργίσκος), a son of Poseidon through the naiad (nymph) Aba (Ἄβα). In Greek mythology, Aba was a nymph and she is presumed to be a daughter of the river Hebros. The site is now occupied in part by modern Çatalca.
Under Roman rule, it was named Metrae or Metre and was important enough in the Late Roman province of Europa (Roman province)|Europa]] to become a suffragan of its capital Heraclea's Metropolitan Archbishop, yet was to fade.
This is a list of terminology used in the fictional Dune universe created by Frank Herbert, the primary source being "Terminology of the Imperium," the glossary contained in the novel Dune (1965).
Dune word construction could be classified into three domains of vocabulary, each marked with its own neology: the names and terms related to the politics and culture of the Galactic Empire, the names and terms characteristic of the mystic sodality of the Bene Gesserit, and the barely displaced Arabic of the Fremen language. Fremen share vocabulary for Arrakeen phenomena with the Empire, but use completely different vocabulary for Bene Gesserit-implanted messianic religion.
Due to the similarities between some of Herbert's terms and ideas and actual words and concepts in the Arabic language — as well as the series' "Islamic undertones" and themes — a Middle Eastern influence on Herbert's works has been noted repeatedly.
Johnny (1963) is the 19th album released by singer Johnny Mathis. It is his 15th original studio album, with four compilations of hit singles having been released by him at this point.
Collaborating once again with arranger/conductor Don Costa who had scored Rapture the previous year, Mathis is heard in a program of ballads and swingers. As with most of Mathis' albums around this time, the program is made up of well-known standards through to rarer material making for an interesting listening experience.
This is an index of characters from the Guilty Gear fighting game series.
Daisuke Ishiwatari has cited Kazushi Hagiwara's manga Bastard‼, and the fighting game Street Fighter II as influence to the Guilty Gear series. However, he noted that the majority of other fighting games were just recycling the character's same skins or style, and so he wanted every character "to be unique in their own way."Kazuhiko Shimamoto's characters was also noted as an inspiration for the men characters, with Ishiwatari saying they needed to be "chivalrous person-like characters", and citing Anji Mito "the most closest to this type". The female ones, on the other hand, have not followed a standard, with he only saying that they needed look like real women.
There are many musical references in the Guilty Gear series, including various characters' names and moves, which were inspired by rock and heavy metal bands like Queen, Guns N' Roses, and Metallica. For instance, the main character, Sol Badguy, was named after Queen's lead vocalist, Freddie Mercury. Both his real name, Frederick, and his last name were influenced by the singer, whose nickname was "Mr. Badguy".

(Fra di noi non pu? finire mai
no non pu? finire
perch? c'? qualcosa in pi? che non pu? finire mai)
Quanto tempo vuoi
(fra di noi non pu? finire mai)
quanto me ne dai
(no non pu? finire)
per convincerti (che c'? qualcosa) che non pu? finire (che non pu? finire) mai
sembra chiaro sai
(fra di noi non pu? finire mai)
che al di l? di noi
(no non pu? finire)
c'? qualcosa di pi? (perch? c'? qualcosa) che non pu? (che non pu? cambiare) cambiare mai
Come un bacio che non fa rumore
mi riscaldi in fondo fino al cuore
Come un sogno io ti cercher?
nessuno ? come te
bella come noi (no non pu? finire)
e non c'? libert? (perch? c'? qualcosa... che non pu? finire) che ci porti via di qua
Come un bacio che non fa rumore
mi riscaldi in fondo fino al cuore
Come un sogno io ti cercher?
nessuno ? come te
dammi un segno e ti raggiunger?
per questo non ti perder?
Come un sogno tu mi cercherai
nessuno ? come te
basta un segno e mi raggiungerai
per questo non mi perderai
Se dovessi io ti inventerei
ma so gi? che tu ci sei
come un bacio che non fa rumore
mi riscaldi in fondo fino al cuore
(No non pu? finire)
dammi un segno
dammi un segno e ti raggiunger?
per questo non ti perder?
Come un sogno tu mi cercherai
nessuno ? come te
basta un segno e mi raggiungerai
