John Warwick

John Warwick (4 January 1905 – 10 January 1972) was an Australian veteran film and television actor and television dramatist.

Early life

Born John McIntosh Beattle at Bellingen, New South Wales, Australia.

Acting career

He had an extensive career over 40 years, beginning in Australian cinema in the early 1930s (he is attributed with introducing Errol Flynn, a personal friend in Sydney, to acting by bringing him along to a casting session when In the Wake of the Bounty was being filmed), then in English cinema in the late 1930s-1940s, and television from the 1950s. In the 1960s he returned to Australia and ended his career in television drama & cinema there.

John Warwick (Nova Scotia politician)

John Warwick (1746–1828) was an English-born farmer and political figure in Nova Scotia. He represented the town of Digby from 1806 to 1818 and Annapolis County from 1818 to 1820 in the Nova Scotia House of Assembly.

He was born in Yorkshire and came to New England in 1774. Warwick took up arms in the loyalist cause and came to Digby, Nova Scotia at the end of the American Revolution. In 1800, he was named deputy postmaster.
