Bit by bit; I'm gettin' over you
Little by little; I'm startin' to pull through
Day by day; I'm gettin' you off my mind
Bit by bit, little by little I'm leaving you behind
When I was a boy out here at the Dew Drop Inn
We're laughin' and a livin' in sin
Having so much fun in the fast lane hun
So don't worry about the shape I'm in
Bit by bit; I'm gettin' over you
Little by little; I'm startin' to pull through
Day by day; I'm gettin' you off my mind
Bit by bit, little by little I'm leaving you behind
I may be near sighted son but as far as I can see
She gave a little wink at me
Now my heart's down and broken and I'm still a token
Of the man that I used to be
(chorus)
(guitar solo)
Well now I'm not the kind to sit around and cry
And roam and moan and whinin' for you
You know life's too short and I ain't the soul
To be hangin' round playin' the fool
(chorus)
Oh Ho
Bit by bit, little by little I'm leaving you behind
(pause)
2-3-4
Bit by bit
Little by little
Day by day
