John Joe Joyce, (born October 17, 1987) is an Irish amateur boxer who represented Ireland in the 2008 Olympic Games in the light welterweight division.
Joyce was born in Mullingar, County Westmeath. Joyce is a national Irish boxing champion and is the 2008 European Union boxing champion in the light welterweight division. In the 2008 Olympic games he defeated Gyula Kate of Hungary by a score of 9-5, but lost in the round of 16 to Felix Diaz of the Dominican Republic in a match that was scored at a tie (11-11).
Joseph "Joe" Joyce (born 18 March 1961 in Consett, County Durham) is an English former footballer who made 479 appearances in the Football League playing for Barnsley, Scunthorpe United, Carlisle United and Darlington. He played as a right back. He was appointed Academy Director at Newcastle United in 2007.
Joyce made more than 350 appearances for Barnsley, where he began his career. He later played for Scunthorpe United and Carlisle United and had a brief loan spell at Darlington.
Joyce began his coaching career with Carlisle United, and was assistant manager of the club under Mervyn Day until 1997. He went on to become Head of Coaching with the Professional Footballers' Association, and was appointed Academy Director at Newcastle United in 2006.
Joseph "Joe" Joyce (born 19 September 1985 in London) is an amateur boxer from England. He competed in the men's super heavyweight division at the 2014 Commonwealth Games where he won the gold medal. He als won he title at the 2015 European Games in Baku.
Joyce won the super-heavyweight class at the 2012 ABA Championships and 2012 GB Amateur Boxing Championships.
He won the bronze in his class at the 2013 European Amateur Boxing Championships after getting KOd by defending Russian champion Sergei Kuzmin in the semifinal.
At the 2013 AIBA World Boxing Championships he was KOd again, this time by unsung Algerian Hamza Beguerni.
