Joe Wilkinson

Joe Wilkinson (born 2 May 1975) is an English comedian, actor and writer. He began his comedy career in his local village pub in 2004 and has supported Alan Carr and Russell Howard on tour. He has also made numerous appearances on television on programmes such as Live at the Apollo and Live at the Electric and has been touring solo since 2011. He currently appears on 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown as Rachel Riley's assistant. He is also one half of the comedy duo 'Two Episodes of Mash' alongside Diane Morgan.

In 2006, Wilkinson won the Hackney Empire New Act of the Year.

Career

Wilkinson started his career in 2004 at his local pub. His local was holding an 'open mic' evening and decided to give it a go so he signed himself up. Since 2008, Joe has appeared more than 70 times on television and has performed many stand up shows on his tour: "Joe Wilkinson: My Mum's Called Stella and My Dad's Called Brian" and at venues such as The Edinburgh Fringe and The Bloomsbury Theatre.

Joseph "Joe" Wilkinson (8 December 1934 - 11 February 2007) was an English former professional footballer who played as a goalkeeper. He made 91 appearances in the Football League.

Career

Born in Seaham, County Durham, Wilkinson played for West Auckland Town, Burnley, Bradford City and Hartlepools United.

He joined Bradford City in May 1959, and left the club in February 1960. For them he made 17 appearances in the Football League. He was then transferred to Hartlepools United where he played more regularly, making 74 Football League appearances over three seasons before apparently retiring. He was in goal when Hartlepools lost 10–1 to Wrexham on 3 March 1962, the club's biggest ever defeat in the Football League.

Joseph Francis "Joe" Wilkinson (born 2 November 1995) is an English professional footballer who plays for Huddersfield Town. As of 13 October 2015, he is on loan at Hyde United.

Club career

Born in Dewsbury, Wilkinson made his professional début for Huddersfield Town playing in an unfamiliar position of right-back in a 2–2 Football League Championship draw against Blackburn Rovers.
