Jeremy Strong (born December 25, 1978) is an American film, television and stage actor. He appeared in Lincoln as John Nicolay, in Zero Dark Thirty as Thomas, in Parkland as Lee Harvey Oswald and in the TV series Mob City. He starred alongside Robert Downey, Jr. and Robert Duvall in Warner Bros.' 2014 feature The Judge.

Early life and education

Jeremy Strong was born in Boston on December 25, 1978. Strong attended public schools in Boston and Sudbury. Strong graduated from Yale University, where he starred in a number of plays. He also studied at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, and the Steppenwolf Theatre Company in Chicago. He made his Broadway debut in 2008.

He was chosen as the 2008/2009 Leonore Annenberg Fellow by Lincoln Center Theater. He was nominated for best off Broadway performance twice within a three year period. He appeared on Broadway in A Man For All Seasons and starred in numerous Off-Broadway productions.

Jeremy Strong (born 18 November 1949) is an English writer credited with over 100 children's books.

Life and career

His first three years were pretty uneventful but then he fell out of a first floor window and landed on his head, broke his right arm and spent a week in hospital. That was his first real memory. After an eventful childhood, mostly involving accidents of one sort or another and gathering a collection of stitches from hospitals en route, Strong left school in 1968 and studied English at York University. He held various vacation jobs, including at a bakery where he put the jam in doughnuts, an experience that put him off eating doughnuts for the next thirty years. After university he became a junior school teacher and also began his writing career. He left teaching in 1991 and has been writing full-time ever since. His humourous writing often makes use of his childhood and primary teaching experiences. He speaks at schools and festivals worldwide. His story There's A Viking In My Bed was made into a BBC children's TV series. A number of his books have won awards. He lives near Bath, UK.
