Jenny Ryan

Jenny Alexis Ryan (born 2 April 1982) is a British quizzer, best known as one of the five "Chasers" on the ITV game show The Chase.

Career

Ryan has made appearances on quiz shows Fifteen to One and The Weakest Link, and was part of a team called "The Gamblers" on Only Connect who won the third series of the show. Ryan came 175th in the World Quizzing Championship of 2014.

Ryan wrote questions for the pilot episode of The Chase in 2009, and joined the show in 2015, making her debut appearance on 2 September. She was recommended for The Chase by Hegerty, as the two of them competed together on the same quiz team. Her nickname on the show is "The Vixen", in reference to her red hair; she is also referred to as "The Bolton Brainiac" for her place of residence.

Richard Castle

Richard "Rick" Edgar Castle (née Richard Alexander Rodgers) (Nathan Fillion) is a famous author who weathered through 20 rejections before he got his first manuscript published. He keeps his first rejection letter framed on his wall at home to keep himself motivated.

When the series begins, Castle has decided to kill off his most famous character, Derrick Storm, because the character has become boring to him. After weathering the backlash from his fans and nagging from his publisher, who is also his ex-wife, Castle is requested to help NYPD Detective Kate Beckett with a murder case that copycats scenarios from his previous novels (written before "Derrick Storm" series). Working alongside Beckett gives Castle a new source of inspiration and, after assisting Beckett with the case, Castle takes the opportunity to use his knowledge and skills, and his close friendship with the Mayor, to stay on with the NYPD in a consulting capacity. In the seventh season finalie "Hollander's Woods", an incident in Castle's past is revealed that had led to his ambition to become a writer.

Jenny Ryan (actress)

Jenny Ryan (born 1971) is a Scottish actress. She is probably best known for playing Tina Hunter in the popular BBC Scotland soap opera River City and Michelle in the Scottish sitcom Dear Green Place. She is also played Sally Stewart in Waterloo Road.

She also appeared in the sixth episode of series 2 of Dan Clark's sitcom How Not to Live Your Life.
