Signals is an album by American jazz pianist Mal Waldron featuring performances recorded in Baarn, Holland in 1971 and released on the Freedom label.
The Allmusic review by Scott Yanow awarded the album 4 stars stating "this set features a solo outing by Waldron that fully displays his continually evolving style. He had moved away from his earlier Thelonious Monk influence to an extent and developed his own brooding style which made expert use of repetition. Waldron's four originals give him plenty of opportunity to stretch out".
Signals is the first solo album by Wayne Krantz released in 1990.

Jelly beans are small bean-shaped sugar candies with soft candy shells and thick gel interiors. The confection comes in a wide variety of colors and flavors, and is primarily made of sugar.
The Turkish delight, a Turkish dessert made of soft jelly covered in confectioner's powder, was an early precursor to the jelly bean and inspired its gummy interior. However, it is generally thought that jelly beans first surfaced in 1861, when Boston confectioner William Schrafft urged people to send his jelly beans to soldiers during the American Civil War. It was not until July 5, 1905, that jelly beans were mentioned in the Chicago Daily News. The advertisement publicised bulk jelly beans sold by volume for nine cents per pound, according to the book The Century in Food: America's Fads and Favorites. Today, most historians contend that jellybeans were first linked with celebrations of Easter in the United States sometime in the 1930s for their egg-like shape. In politics, jelly beans earned fame as Ronald Reagan claimed them as his favorite treat.
A jelly bean is a type of confectionery.

The following is a list of members of families of Archie's Gang appearing in Archie Comics. Primarily featured are the parents of Archie Andrews, Betty Cooper, Veronica Lodge and Jughead Jones.
Frederick "Fred" Andrews is the father of Archie Andrews and the son of Archie's grandfather Artie Andrews. Apart from Hiram Lodge, he and his wife Mary appear more than any other parents in Archie Comics. Archie often calls him "Pop." He is somewhat overweight, and his wife often makes him diet, which he dislikes. He has also lost most of his black hair. Thinning-haired, amply-contoured gentlemen appear to be common in Archie Comics (Mr. Weatherbee, Coach Kleats, Smithers, Pop Tate).
He works as a businessman. Although the specifics of his job are not clear, it evidently involves an aspect of industrial automotive sales. He sometimes claims himself capable of more skills than he actually is. He is conservative and has old-fashioned ideals, and is bothered by the changes in the new generation, which he must endure due to his having a teenage son. However, beneath this lies a very soft heart and he occasionally displays a sense of humor towards Archie. The two of them are close, and share many father/son activities.
