J. J. Johnson
James Louis "J. J." Johnson (January 22, 1924 – February 4, 2001) was an American jazz trombonist, composer and arranger. He was sometimes credited as Jay Jay Johnson.
Johnson was one of the first trombonists to embrace bebop music. He has long been regarded as one of the leading trombonists of the post-swing era, exerting a pervasive influence on other jazz musicians.
Biography
Big bands
After studying the piano beginning at age 9, Johnson decided to play trombone at the age of 14. In 1941, he started his professional career with Clarence Love, and then played with Snookum Russell in 1942. In Russell's band he met the trumpeter Fats Navarro, who influenced him to play in the style of the tenor saxophonist Lester Young. Johnson played in Benny Carter's orchestra between 1942 and 1945, and made his first recordings in 1942 under Carter's leadership, recording his first solo (on Love for Sale) in October, 1943. In 1944, he took part in the first Jazz at the Philharmonic concert, presented in Los Angeles and organized by Norman Granz. In 1945 he joined the big band of Count Basie, touring and recording with him until 1946.
Food City 300
The Food City 300 is a NASCAR Xfinity Series stock car race that takes place each August under the lights at Bristol Motor Speedway in Bristol, Tennessee. The second race at Bristol of the season, it is held the night before the Sprint Cup Series Bass Pro Shops NRA Night Race. First held as a 150 lap event, the race has increased in length several times, first to 200 laps in 1985, and to 250 laps in 1990. In 2014, the length of the race was increased to 300 laps, making it the same number of laps as the spring race.

James "Jay" Johnson established himself as one of the top bass-baritone singers in the Detroit doo-wop and soul music scene during the pre-Motown years. He was a member of the Detroit group Nolan Strong & The Diablos and can be heard on the group's Fortune Records recordings from late 1956 on.
While at Fortune Records, Johnson also recorded with Andre Williams' 'New Group.' He can also be heard as the dominant bass voice on Nathaniel Mayer's hit "Village Of Love."
Johnson would later form The Velvet Angels and The Four Sonics. He is currently performing with a new Diablos group he organized, Nolan Strong's Diablos - Johnson is the only original member.
Nolan Strong & the Diablos, Fortune Records
Johnson, 17 years old at the time, joined the Nolan Strong & the Diablos in 1956. Johnson was introduced to Nolan Strong through fellow Fortune Records artist Andre Williams. Johnson performed and recorded in Andre Williams' New Group. Johnson is heard on Williams songs: "Bacon Fat," "Just Because Of A Kiss," "Mean Jean," and "Bobby Jean". Along with Johnson, Andre Williams’ "New Group" also consisted of, Gino Parks, Bobby Calhoun, Steve Gaston.
Jay Jay
Jay Jay (Tamil: ஜே ஜே) is a 2003 Tamil romance film written and directed by Saran. The film features R. Madhavan, Amogha and Pooja in the leading roles while Adithya Menon, Kalabhavan Mani, Charle, Dhamu and Malavika Avinash also play key supporting roles. Produced by V. Ravichandran of Oscar Films, the film had music scored by Bharathwaj. It released in November 2003 to average reviews and collections. This plot is derived from the Hollywood film Serendipity.
Plot
Jagan (R. Madhavan) and Jamuna (Priyanka Kothari) meet in a shopping mall in Chennai. They like each other and spend a day chatting in the coffee shop. Jamuna, a believer in destiny, writes down her address and telephone number on a Rs.100 note and makes the payment at the cafe declaring that if the note comes back to Jagan then it means that he was destined to meet her. He tries hard to trace the note but in vain. Jamuna goes back to Kolkata. Meanwhile Pooja (Pooja), who was rescued by Madhavan from some thugs, has a crush on him. Finally Jagan manages to get Jamuna address on the eve of her wedding and unites with her.
