Javed Ahmed Khan

Javed Ahmed Khan is a long-standing public servant, social worker and a committed politician of the All India Trinamool Congress (TMC) party. Born in 1956, Javed Ahmed Khan completed a Bachelor of Commerce (Hons.) from St. Xavier's College, Kolkata in 1978.

Career

Mr. Khan got involved in public service in an attempt to help make a change for the better since he is passionate about improving the lives of the people of Kolkata; in particular, promoting policies that encourage a sustainable economy, services that work, government that people can trust, dynamic communities and a robust environment.

In the year 2006, the people of Ballygunge (South Kolkata, West Bengal, India) elected Mr. Khan as their representative (MLA) in the West Bengal Legislative Assembly.

The TMC legislator has also served as a councillor of Ward no. 66 (Topsia) from the year 1995-2010. In addition, in the year 2000-2005, Mr. Khan was sworn in as the Member, Mayor in Council (Health) of the Kolkata Municipal Corporation (KMC), headed by Mr. Subrata Mukherjee (former Mayor of Kolkata). Nonetheless, from 2005–2010, Khan was elected as the Leader of the Opposition in the KMC.

Ahmed Khan (choreographer)

Ahmed Khan is an Indian choreographer, producer, actor, director and writer. Khan began as a child actor playing small roles in films like Raakh. He played an orphan boy in his debut film, Mr. India and worked as choreographer's assistant in Anjaam. He choreographed for films such as Rangeela, Taal, Ghajini and Kick. He was a judge of Dance India Dance Lil Master season 3. Khan made his directorial debut with the 2004 film Lakeer – Forbidden Lines starring John Abraham. In 2007, he released Fool n Final, a comedy with Sunny Deol and Shahid Kapoor. He produced and wrote the script for Paathshaala in 2010. Khan is scheduled to appear in the upcoming sequel to Mr. India, Mr. India 2.

Personal life

Ahmed Khan met Shaira who was a model and proposed marriage to her right away because for him it was love at first sight. Ahmed Khan and Shaira dated for six months. Ahmed Khan got married to Shaira when she was barely 18. Ahmed Khan proves it over and over that he loves his wife, Shaira Khan too much. So much so that at the recent Filmfare award fucntion where he won the best choreography award for jumme ki raat (Kick). He dedicated the award to her saying, he dedicates the award to his newly married gorgeous and beautiful wife, Shaira khan. It goes the same for Screen awards and many more awards this year. His words remain unchanged for the love of his life. Ahmed Khan started a production house for his wife, Shaira Khan called Paperdoll Entertainment. Where they jointly produced the movie Paathshaala. In which he has written the script and now they are the producers of Ek Paheli Leela, releasing on 10 April 2015.

Ahmed Khan (field hockey)

Ahmed Sher Khan (November 1, 1912 – March 13, 1967) was an Indian field hockey player who competed in the 1936 Summer Olympics.

He was a member of the Indian field hockey team, which won the gold medal. He played one match as forward.

Javed Ahmed Sofi

Javed Ahmed Sofi (born 12 December 1991) is an Indian cricketer. He is a right-handed batsman and a leg-break bowler who plays for Jammu and Kashmir. He was born in Srinagar.

Ahmed made three appearances for the Under-15s team in the Polly Umrigar trophy competition of 2005-06, and one appearance for the Under-17s team in the Vijay Merchant trophy the following season. He made his first-class debut as an opening batsman against Jharkhand in November 2008. He scored just a single run in the first innings, but a tenacious 34 in the second.

Javed Ahmed (born 10 February 1960) is a Pakistani American businessman, currently chief executive of Tate & Lyle plc, a British-based multinational agribusiness.

Ahmed graduated from Williams College, Williamstown, Massachusetts, in 1982, and received an MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business in 1984.

He started his career with Procter & Gamble, then spent five years with Bain & Co, before joining Reckitt Benckiser.

Ahmed became CEO of Tate & Lyle on 1 October 2009, replacing Iain Ferguson.
