Javagal Srinath (ಜಾವಗಲ್ ಶ್ರೀನಾಥ್) pronunciation (born 31 August 1969) is an Indian former cricketer and current ICC Match Referee. He is considered among India's finest fast bowlers and remains the only Indian fast bowler to have taken more than 300 wickets in One Day Internationals.
He was a frontline fast bowler for the Indian cricket team until his retirement, being the second Indian pace bowler after Kapil Dev to take 200 Test wickets.
Following South Africa's tour to India in late 1996, India traveled to South Africa where speed guns were in operation. That was the only series in Srinath's career where authentic speed gun readings were available before his career-threatening rotator-cuff injury of 1997.
He took 44 wickets in the 1992, 1996, 1999 and 2003 editions of Cricket World Cups. He is the joint highest wicket taker for India across World Cups, the other being Zaheer Khan who took same number of wickets in 2003, 2007 and 2011 editions. He has taken 8 wickets in second innings Kolkata February 1999 test match India vs Pakistan and he took 35 wickets against South Africa in 6 test matches in 1996 – 1997.

Narayana Swamy (Kannada: ನಾರಾಯಣ ಸ್ವಾಮಿ), known by his stage name Srinath is an Indian Kannada cinema actor and the vice-president of Kannada TV Channel Udaya TV. He is also popularly known for his anchoring in the Game Show, Adarsha Dampatigalu (Kannada: ಆದರ್ಶ ದಂಪತಿಗಳು), meant for married couples competing on which pair is the ideal. Srinath is generally called with the nickname Pranaya Raja (means, King of Romance) because of his success in various movies involving love stories. In 2003, he was conferred the Kalaratna Award by the Government of Karnataka.
Narayana Swamy (Srinath's birth name) was introduced to Kannada film industry by renowned director Puttanna Kanagal. Initially, he acted in amateur dramas and practiced cinematography in Occupational Institute in Bangalore. He entered films through a small role in the Kannada movie Lagna Pathrike. After that, he got a chance to play the main role in a film directed by S K A Chari by name Madhura Milana and it was during this time, his name was changed to Srinath. Since then, he is known as Srinath. After 1975 Shubamangala, Srinath acted nearly 65 films in few years. It was Shubamangala which gave him break, and the movie is considered to be pertinent to any generation, be it 1970's or 2010's.
