Personal name

A personal name or full name refers to the set of names by which an individual is known and that can be recited as a word-group, with the understanding that, taken together, they all relate to that one individual. In many cultures, the term is synonymous with the birth and legal names of the individual, see below. In many cultures, individuals possess a variety of names, in others they are known by a single name; when a plurality of names occur, some are specific to the individual, distinguishing them from related individuals (e.g., John Adams and John Quincy Adams), while other names indicate the person's relationship to or membership in a family, clan, or other social structure (as for Charles Philip Arthur George and one of his namesakes), or even to unrelated others (e.g., as for Leonardo Da Vinci and his namesake).

In Western culture, nearly all individuals possess at least one given name (also known as a personal name, first name, forename, or Christian name), together with a surname (also known as a family name, last name, or gentile name)—respectively, the Thomas and Jefferson in Thomas Jefferson—the latter to indicate that the individual belongs to a family, a tribe, or a clan. Inserted between these are one or more "middle names" (e.g., Frank Lloyd Wright, Charles John Huffam Dickens, Anne Elizabeth Alice Louise Mountbatten-Windsor), further establishing such family and broader relationships. Some cultures, including Western, also add (or once added) patronymics or matronymics, for instance, via a middle name as with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky (son of pater Ilya), or via a last name as with Björk Guðmundsdóttir (daughter of pater Guðmund) or Heiðar Helguson (son of mater Helga). Similar concepts are present in Eastern cultures.

Todd Smith (born March 3, 1984) is an American professional wrestler, currently signed with Ring of Honor, under the ringname Hanson, where he teams with Raymond Rowe as War Machine. Together they presently hold the ROH Tag Team Championship.

He is the former head trainer of the Chaotic Trainer Center along with Brian Fury. He is also a mainstay of Chaotic Wrestling and New England Championship Wrestling, where he was a three-time Chaotic Wrestling Heavyweight Champion and 2-time Chaotic Wrestling Tag Team Champion.

Independent circuit (2001–present)

Smith has worked for Chaotic Wrestling, Millennium Wrestling Federation, NWA New England, New England Championship Wrestling, New England Wrestling Alliance, Front Row Wrestling, Eastern Pro Wrestling and UCW promotions under various ring names. Smith has an extensive tag team background, most notably, as one half of The Trendsetters with Max Bauer and Pretty Psycho with Psycho. A former student of Killer Kowalski, he and Brian Milonas are also the head instructors at his Chaotic Wrestling's training facility in North Andover, Massachusetts.

Todd Smith is the eleventh studio album by American rapper LL Cool J, released on April 11, 2006 by his label Def Jam Recordings. It includes collaborations with Jennifer Lopez, Pharrell, Juelz Santana, Teairra Mari, Ginuwine, Mary J. Blige, 112, Mary Mary, Ryan Toby (from City High) and Freeway.

Album information

The first single is the high-intensity, Jermaine Dupri produced dance track "Control Myself", another song with singer Jennifer Lopez after their collaboration on "All I Have" on Lopez's 2002 album This Is Me... Then. LL Cool J and Jennifer Lopez shot the video for "Control Myself" on January 2, 2006 at Sony Studios, New York. The video was shot by Hype Williams. Originally the song was to feature Fergie (from The Black Eyed Peas), however difference in terms of payment resulted in her being replaced by Jennifer Lopez. Todd Smith scored mixed reviews, although most critics enjoyed tracks "Preserve The Sexy" and "Freeze". Freeze was the album's second single and it features Lyfe Jennings. The album shipped 500,000 copies but sold just 367,000 copies. Despite the fact the album debuted at number-six, it quickly fell off in 6 weeks. LL Cool J said he will be doing his last album on Def Jam which is a sequel to Todd Smith. The original title for the album was called "My Favorite Flavors" and this is the 4th album of LL's where he has appeared either shirtless, or has used a bare/exposed part of his body as the cover of the album.

James Todd (December 25, 1786–September 3, 1863) was a Pennsylvania lawyer and judge, who served in the state legislature and as state Attorney General.

Biography and career

Todd was born in 1786, son of Henry and Mary Todd, of Scotch descent. Early in 1787, the family moved to Fayette County, and both his parents died that year. Todd was raised by one Duncan McLean. His official schooling was limited to one and a half years, but he read extensively at night.

Todd served as county commissioner 1815–1819, during which time he read law under John Bouvier. He served as a representative in the state legislature, 1819–1829. He was admitted to the bar in 1823.

Todd married Mary Cornell in 1810, she died in 1824. They had 3 children. Todd married Jane Miller (born 1802) in 1825, they had 7 children.

Todd served as prothonotary and clerk of the court 1825–1830. He was appointed attorney-general in 1835, and removed to Philadelphia. Todd resigned in 1838, when he was appointed president judge of the newly created court of Criminal Sessions of Philadelphia, which he served until the court was abolished in 1840. Afterwards he stayed in Philadelphia in private practice, until 1852, when he removed to Westmoreland county, where he stayed until his death in 1863. He was buried in the St. Clair Cemetery, Greenburg.

James Todd (boxer)

James Todd, alias The Sandman, is a welterweight professional boxer from Swansea, Wales.

Professional career

Todd made his professional debut against another debuting fighter, Adam Cummings, in December 2008, which was judged by the referee as a draw. Todd won his next two bouts, against 7-82-2 Jason Nesbitt and 0-1 Adam Farrell, before traveling to the US to further his career. There Todd faced amateur standout Dean Peters Jr. and lost by unanimous decision.

On October 20, 2009 it was announced that Todd would get a surprise shot at a minor world title, the IBA welterweight belt. Todd's opponent Mohammed Kayongo (14-2 with 10 knockouts) won with a fourth-round TKO.

Todd took a three-year break, then teamed up with a new trainer Darren Pullman in Swansea. Todd made a comeback fight on June 7, 2013 against debuting fighter Lee Boyce in Echo Arena, Liverpool, Merseyside, United Kingdom on the Dave Price versus Tony Thomas undercard. Todd won the fight on points; referee Mark Lyson scored the fight 40-38 to Todd.
