James Macarthur
James Macarthur (7 June 1848 – 2 May 1922) was a British Anglican Bishop in the late 19th and early 20th century.
Macarthur was educated at the University of Glasgow and studied for ordination at Ripon College Cuddesdon. From 1878 he was Curate at St Mary Redcliffe in Bristol before Incumbencies in Lamplugh and Westminster. Promotion to Rural Dean of Ealing followed before his elevation to the Episcopate as Bishop of Bombay in 1898. After 5 years he was translated to Southampton.
In 1909, he gave the lych-gate at North Stoneham church in memory of his wife, Emily. It was designed by Isle of Wight architect Percy Stone, and built of oak timber taken from HMS Thunderer which took part in the Battle of Trafalgar.
On 2 May 1922, Macarthur died.

James Gordon MacArthur (December 8, 1937 – October 28, 2010) was an American actor best known for the role of Danny "Danno" Williams, the reliable second-in-command of the fictional Hawaiian State Police squad in the long-running television series Hawaii Five-O.
Early life
Born in Los Angeles, California, MacArthur was the natural son of playwright Charles MacArthur, adopted by him and his wife, actress Helen Hayes. He grew up in Nyack, New York, along with the MacArthurs' biological daughter, Mary. He was educated at Allen-Stevenson School in New York, and later at the Solebury School in New Hope, Pennsylvania, where he starred in basketball, football and baseball.
In his final year at Solebury, MacArthur: played guard on the football team; captained the basketball team; was president of his class, the student government, and the Drama Club; rewrote the school's constitution; edited the school paper, The Scribe; and played Scrooge in a local presentation of A Christmas Carol. He also started dating a fellow student, Joyce Bulifant; they were married in November 1958 and divorced nine years later.

James Macarthur (15 December 1798 – 21 April 1867) was an Australian pastoralist and politician. He was a member of the New South Wales Legislative Council on three occasions between 1839 and 1843, 1848 and 1856 and finally from 1866 until his death. He was also a member of the New South Wales Legislative Assembly between 1856 and 1859.
Early life
Macarthur was the fourth son of John Macarthur and his wife Elizabeth. He was initially privately educated in Parramatta but accompanied his father to England in 1809 in the aftermath of the Rum Rebellion. He stayed in Europe throughout his father's exile and completed his education in Hackney before undertaking a grand tour. On arriving back in the colony in 1817, he was given responsibility for managing his father's Camden estates. He did this assiduously and greatly increased the family's wealth and property during the next 10 years. He was also a director of numerous colonial companies including the failing Australian Agricultural Company. During two trips to England between 1827 and 1832 and in 1837-38, he improved the company's affairs and did much to promote New South Wales.
