James Daniel Wilson

James Daniel Wilson is an English actor, voice-over artist and writer in various media including lip sync translations of foreign films into English.

Films James has written for include The Door starring Helen Mirren and directed by István Szabó, Vicky and The Treasure of The Gods and Vicky the Viking. As an actor he has worked extensively in theatre, TV, film and voice-overs.

Theatre credits include the inaugural production of Home at the National Theatre of Scotland in conjunction with Frantic Assembly and the role of Giles Ralston in the West End production of The Mousetrap. James worked with Kali Theatre Company on the site-specific piece My Daughter's Trial. The show played to sell-out audiences in the old courtroom above Browns Restaurants on St. Martins Lane, London.

James's voice can be heard in the feature length animation Gnomeo and Juliet and Minions

His computer game credits include the voice of the lead character Nowe in Drakengard 2 and Ser Wesley Vallen in Dragon Age II.

Biography

College career

Daniel was a 4-year letter winner playing offensive guard at Alabama State University.

Coaching career

Daniel began his coaching career as an offensive line coach at Enterprise High School from 1974–1980 after graduating from Alabama State. He enjoyed a high level of success at the high school level, as during this five year time span eleven of his offensive linemen earned college scholarships.

He moved to Auburn in 1981 to serve as the offensive line coach on head coach Pat Dye's staff from 1981 to 1992. During his 12 year tenure, the Tigers appeared in nine consecutive bowl games, four linemen were selected for All-American honours and several selected All-SEC.

Daniel's first professional level coaching experience came as a part of the NFL's Minority Fellowship program, with the New Orleans Saints in 1988 and with the Denver Broncos in 1992 under head coach Dan Reeves. He made his professional-level debut with the New York Giants, serving as tight end coach from 1993 to 1996. He moved to the Atlanta Falcons in 1997, serving in the same capacity from 1997 to 2003. Daniel was instrumental in the development of tight end Alge Crumpler, who led the Falcons in receptions in 2002 and 2003 and has earned four Pro Bowl selections as well as two All-Pro honours. Daniel also served as the offensive line coach in 2000.

Daniel Wilson (MP)

Daniel Wilson (1680 – 31 May 1754) of Dallam Tower, Westmorland was a Member of the Parliament of Great Britain for Westmorland from 1708 to 1722 and 1727 to 1747, and also served as High Sheriff of Lancashire in 1727.

He married Elizabeth Crowle, sister of George Crowle and Richard Crowle.

Daniel (Bat for Lashes song)

"Daniel" is a song by English recording artist Bat for Lashes, from her second studio album, Two Suns. It is her best selling single to date, selling over 46,000 copies worldwide. The song was announced as the lead single from Two Suns in January 2009, then released as a digital download single on 1 March 2009, and as a 7" vinyl single on 6 April 2009. The track was written by Natasha Khan and produced by David Kosten, as with all tracks on the album. Ira Wolf Tuton from Yeasayer provided the bass lines for the song and Khan did the rest of the instrumentation herself. Khan said in an interview with The Sun newspaper that "Daniel" is based on a fictional character that she fell in love with as a teenager. The single's cover features Khan with an image of the character Daniel LaRusso, from the film The Karate Kid, painted on her back. A character much like LaRusso also features at the end of the music video which goes with the song. The B-side of the 7" is a cover version of a 1980 single by The Cure.

Daniel is an English department store chain and Royal Warrant holder, with its flagship store situated in central Windsor. It was established in 1901 by Walter James Daniel, and is privately owned.
